This 2001 Kawasaki
ZX-7R was built and designed by Alexander Farrington from Atlanta, Georgia to
commemorate the 343 fallen New York City firefighters from the 9/11 tragedy.
Farrington lost a high school friend, Eric Allen, an FDNY firefighter, and
decided to build a motorcycle dedicated to him and his fallen brothers.
Farrington spent two years constructing a bike meant o show people that we
will ever Forgetthe 343 men who sacrificed their lives in order to save
others.
heir selfless ways will not go unnoticed,nbsp;
t truly been an honor to be able to do this and I very happy that
Advanstar and eBay and the International Allstars have decided to help me with
the final process of auctioning off the bike and delivering the proceeds to
those in need./font>
In March 2006, I
transported the FDNY Bike to NYC to show the firefighters what all of my hard
work was about up until that point. I knew something was missing from the bike
and I was honored when the actual NYC Firefighters signed the bike.
It was amazing to see
the affect the FDNY Bike had on some of the firefighters. Some of them would
just sit and take in the bike for hours.
As much time permitted,
the FDNY was promoted Nationally at any Car or Bike show for all to see. No
matter what the occasion, we tried to show everyone we would NEVER FORGET!!!
