• I stay current on issues pertaining to the products I sell - I like soaking up information on everything. I spent my internship being a part of a research team for Philippine Center of Investigative Journalism (PCIJ), uncovering corrupt BIR (their IRS) officials (http://www.pcij.org/stories/2003/bir.html, which won First Prize in the  Investigative Category of the 2003 Jaime V. Ongpin Awards for Investigative Journalism). I also did some research for their CD ROM "The Ties That Bind" & helped with copyreading their website (yes, they do make mistakes, we all do). PCIJ has won numerous international awards & is probably most famous for divulging information that lead to former President Estrada's impeachment trial.
• I used to help manage a car rental branch which consistently ranked 2nd or 3rd in customer satisfaction among hundreds of branches in Florida every month I managed it. Despite being a novice (they gave the responsibiity to me after just 3 months in the company - very unusual for the predominantly white/male corporate world), I grew the fleet from 40 cars to over 60 in less than 10 months due to word of mouth. The company is the largest car rental company in North America (that includes the U.S.A. for those of you who are dense :) When I got transferred to a bigger branch (800-1000 cars) as a "promotion," several customers didn't mind driving 30+ miles just to see me. Eventually, as customers advised as well, I quit the corporate world because I hate politics, I didn't like feeling 'guilty' when I had to miss work to attend to my family & I knew since I was 5 that I'd like to start my own business.
• My degree is from the University of the Philippines (the top Philippine university according to Newsweek) - 0.07 shy of graduating cum laude (ranked 3rd among 50 students from my college though).
• My high school alma mater is Manila Science High School (exclusively for the gifted), which usually ranks within the top 2 in the National Scholastic Aptitude Test (NSAT, used to be NCEE during my time - & I'm proud to say that I was in the 99th percentile when I graduated, despite the fact that I skipped school 75-80% of the time then). Customers have the assurance that I would try to give the most logical answers to their questions or concerns, even if that sometimes means I don't make the sale. 
• The advice I give is usually backed up by a registered nurse's knowledge. My mom has been a Registered Nurse in Florida for 2 decades. Prior to that, she worked as a nurse at a reputable Military Hospital run by British Executives in the Middle East. She ranked top 11th when she took her Nursing Board Exam in the Philippines - and could have probably made the top 1 had she not been too busy working & raising 7 kids at the time.

• Feedback says it all - almost all of the undeserved negatives I got was from international buyers who claimed that they didn't get their packages due to unreliable international postal service. A few were from people who bought the item before they read the description.
• 100% customer satisfaction is my goal. Customers are right 99% of the time (let's face it, there are those who abuse sellers' kindness, and I wasn't exactly born yesterday) - so don't hesitate to let me know what I can do to make you completely satisfied with your shopping experience.
• I do not sell knock offs or fakes (unless I'm unaware of it - never happened yet). I wouldn't sell anything that I wouldn't use myself. It's very easy to get similar looking soaps & other skin care products elsewhere, but you can't be sure that the concentration of the ingredients are 100% the same. Don't be fooled by immitation products which are cheaper by a dollar or so, but have only a fraction of the active ingredient concentration. A lot of copycat manufacturers can make their products look like they're the same products even when they're not, since the packaging is ubiquitous.
• Fresh stock - There are other sellers who offer low prices (a dollar or so cheaper), but their stock is older because they either use cheaper means of shipping like Philippine snail mail or sea cargo. For those 2 shipping options, transit time is 1-4 months, add to that the fact that the products are not stored properly during transit - which means the products you'd receive are old & less effective due to improper storage conditions. My skin care products are 1-2 weeks old at most at purchase date because I get new shipments every week via expedited airmail. Oh, and check the weight of their soaps - the unboxed soaps I sell (150g) are 25% more than the boxed soaps they have (120g). I'd let you in on a little secret too, the manufacturer boxed & changed the packaging to launch a Multilevel Marketing Program, so in essence the boxed ones are the 'copycats,' and the unboxed products are the originals.
• Streamlined product line - sure, I could list the hundreds of products the manufacturer sells, but why do that when I know that only a few would do the job? I act as my customers' "gatekeeper" who filters all the unnecessary, ineffective, unsafe & redundant products out there.
• As my mother summarizes, don't buy anything from someone:
• whose IQ is so much lower than you (read: sellers who can't even speak straight English much less give you advice on your precious skin, who have resorted to copying my description & business strategies),
• who's rougher around the edges than you (it's a euphemism for ug_y; not to be mean, but we're selling beauty products right? Would you really buy from sellers who obviously don't practice what they preach?)
