Wood working with Acme Wood Names


We specialize in wooden name plaques, but with a twist. We add a cartoon characters or your favorite sports team next to the name. We also make other wooden items such as wall plaques, signs, custom work and fret work. I will be adding sports plaques, sportscards and comics.

So if you are looking for a unique, one of a kind gift for the special person or friend, look no further. Here at Acme Wood Names, if we can draw it, we can make it.

About Us

This is just other background information about my wife and I. We used to have a sportscard and comic shop here in San Antonio Texas, home of the Alamo and the San Antonio Spurs. After we closed the shop, we started selling on eBay. Then in 2000, I began a new hobby, wood working with a scroll saw. This is very relaxing. I started giving my friends name plaques. A few of my firefighting brothers, a name plaque with a fire truck and a few name plaques with Betty Boop as a nurse to some of my nursing friends.  <p>

We have over 750+ pictures of name plaques that we have made. The following pages have 75 pictures on each page.<
