In the W.R. Hearst tradition of indulgence, you are invited to a lavish night’s stay at the California State Parks’ historic Hearst Castle® in San Simeon, California. You can be the first in 50 years to spend the night in the Castle. Capture this unforgettable and unequaled experience! Your bid will be the lead gift to the Friends of Hearst Castle endowment for restoration and preservation of Hearst Castle’s unmatched collection of art and artifacts.

You and your friends will experience a private museum director’s behind-the-scenes tour, a relaxing swim in the Neptune pool, mellowing martinis and hors d’oeuvres in W.R.’s own wine cellar, an extravagant multi-course gourmet feast, paired to perfection with premium Central Coast wines served on the Neptune Terrace, a full-length movie in Hearst’s private theatre, after dinner cigars and brandy overlooking the breathtaking Pacific Ocean and so much more. You and your partner will then spend the night in the Castle’s south wing with a terrace view of the Pacific coastline glistening under a canopy of stars. Historians tell that Castle architect Julia Morgan slept in the same room in 1934.

Your eight fortunate friends will depart by limousine to first class accommodations at The Cottontail Creek Ranch, a nearby luxury mountain lodge on over 850 acres of rolling hills that is totally yours for two nights - the perfect home base from which to experience the richness of California’s Central Coast. The entire group will rendezvous there the next day for a complimentary Paso Robles Wine Country wine tour. You and your guests will experience California’s fastest growing wine region as you tour the vineyards with knowledgeable viticulturists and enjoy the wineries with the winemakers themselves. Sip award winning Bordeaux and Rhône style wines and enjoy a wine country lunch in the vineyards. Each couple will receive a specially selected case of Paso Robles wines. A lollapalooza of a day ends with local gourmet chefs whipping up a delectable wine country feast and the entire group spending another glorious night on the Central Coast.
