Gentraders is proud to announce we are now eBay Power Sellers. We are, to our knowledge, the only seller in the electronics salvage remarketing business to attain this distinction. The reason is simple, we are honest to a fault. This honesty has translated itself to minimal negative feedback, one of the key requirements of the Power Seller program.

This should not come as a surprise. The people involved with Gentraders have accumulated over a decade of experience in the online auction industry both at eBay and in management positions at other sites. We know that honesty and straightforward dealing is absolutely essential.

The remarketing of salvage merchandise is a business that is apt to get an inordinate number of negative ratings. The reason is simple. These companies that offer name brand electronics at stupidly low prices are easily accused of suckering the innocent. After, who wants a possibly non-working video camera?

We've found a lot of people, do. Many of our buyers are handymen. They buy for parts and, if it is a good enough unit, they'll repair it.

Consumers do buy these items as well and some, frankly work and while others are costly to repair -- especially when you have to pay someone else to do the work. For those who do not have fix-it skills, buying some units is a gamble. Our auctions express the nature of this gamble.

We've also instituted a policy of requesting 'neutral' feedback, which helps us and helps the consumer assess the risks without, frankly, our having to endure the knee-jerk negs that sometimes come from a disappointed customer.

Regardless, while we have the experience and knowledge of how to provide the best in customer service, we do want to emphaisize we are human. However, know that within the limits of common sense, we do strive to make things right.
