Good Day
Thanks for checking out my me
page here at eBay. I hope to have some more interesting elements up here
soon. I read way too much Science Fiction, Space related, old sailing
related, micro-biology and genetics (or most any science), and a few other
types of books. I have time to read because I watch almost zero TV! Yes
More later!
Collections
I have far too many hobbies and too much stuff. That said, I am asking
you to add to these woes. My main collecting focus these days is 1961
License Plates. I 'NEED' any 1961 any state WRECKER, BUS, TAXI, and others.
I also collect S-38, and S38A to C Hallicrafters Radios (smaller short wave receivers), Space Pins, and certain horse related items (especially robotic type horses).
I tend to sell Eastern
Bloc military trinkets (badges, pins, uniform parts, pictures), U.S. Military
(badges, pins, uniform parts, BOOKS!!), old radio stuff, old car stuff,
Dungeons and Dragons Game stuff, and other items too numerous to mention.
Update 29JUN09
Due to the crummy economy thang (The good hasn't trickled down yet I guess), and my hard-working wife getting laid off so some executives can get their multi-million bonuses, I will be selling much of my personal stash of goodies. This will include:
Non-Fiction outer space and space related books, mining books and items. I was very interested in space-based mining of resources. Still am, but as I am not too involved in the aero-space industry anymore, I am liquidating most of this stuff to younger minds and bodies who may still have a future in this field.
Comic books and related items. Mostly SHI, Tigers of Terra, Lady Rawhide, Lady Justice and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. Besides comics, there are trade books, T-Shirts, posters, signed and special editions, Magazines like Femme Fatale , trade samples, Oh Ya! SHI trading cards and whatever else I can dig up out of the basement.
Sailing, boat building books and magazines, plans, catalogs, and other item of maritime flavor. At one time, I had visions of living in an old New England town on the ocean with my own schooner selling tours from the back of my antique store. Wellll, ain't happening now folks, so I will be selling most of these trinkets off. Will include for sure a light blinker ( the manual version ) for sending light code, old pulley and blocks, giant monkey's fist balls ( of maritime-knotted rope variety, no monkeys were hurt in the making of these), pictures, and other items.
Old National Geographic magazines. I was collecting these, trying for a whole set, but a lack of secure and non-flooding storage has shown me the folly of this. Will be selling singles, pairs, half years, years, and remnants, mostly the older they are, the smaller the group will be.
My dad used to make little lead metal soldiers, mostly WWI, some others. He did this right up to a few weeks before he passed away. I was holding on to this stuff mostly out of sentimental reasons, but I am mostly over the need to keep these things now. I think he would like to see them being used and enjoyed rather than just thought about every once in a while. Mostly molds, catalogs, books, and accessories
and Lastly, for now anyway, is old 78 RPM records. I will be processing these probably over the fall season of 2009. Gentle cleaning and inspection, storing in plain paper jackets if they have none, imaged, cataloged and written up, stored in boards, shipped in card boards and plastic bags with packing and good boxes. These will be sold as singles, sets (if it makes sense), collections (if that is how they are sold), and then in lots or groups.
I will try to continue the sales of BARGAIN monitor stands when work does not get too wild. I still have a good number of stands left, but these were stored longer so take more time to clean and check out. I generally have FOUR kinds, of which three I sell on eBay. I will get the fourth style up soon, as I have already shipped out a few by accident.
This is it for the 2009 update. I hope and pray (literally, for me and you all) that 2009 treats you better in the second half. Despite our set-backs, we are happy we have most of our health, and relative happiness (that is family wise), lots of eBay friends with kind words, and hope for the future. God Bless!
