QuiltsQuilts are getting harder and harder to find.
I look for these treasures every day but they are really getting scarce.
My quilt customers are very happy to receive genuine homespun handmade quilts
that are usually made by housewives out of cotton fabric.
The quilt artists use whatever fabric they have on hand
and make that wonderful old American Quilt Cultural find.

Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt
Beautiful Quilts

Sometimes I find new handmade quilts that are made with loving care and they are made right here in Arkansas by nimble fingers and happy hearts.
Some are so well made they have 8 stitches per inch. That is a lot of loving care and long hours. The rows of quilting are usually 1" apart but sometimes closer.

They will probably last over a hundred years since the fabric and materials used today are so much better than long ago. They will be the desired heirlooms of the future.
I put all my quilts up for sale on ebay in the "Antique" quilts section. I want lots of people to be able to see my quilts. Some are "Antiques"; some are "Vintage"; and some are made in the last 30 years. This is a marketing decision. I also use names for my quilts that do not follow the "traditional" pattern theme.
When I first started buying and selling quilts I talked to a Professor who taught quilting.
He said, "...about the names of quilt patterns and what the rules are... There are no rules when it comes to quilt patterns. traditionally, the quilters named them themselves, and it is a part of the American tradition to name your quilts, yourself."
The artists who made these wonderful pieces had the freedom to create them and when I buy them I have the freedom to name them.
Sometimes I name my quilts after I buy them and I try to use the landscape of the area they come from included in the title as well as the design. I look up the patterns in my quilt books and I also try to give the buyer an idea in the description of the traditional name of the pattern.
So, if you think I have misnamed the quilt or think that my title is incorrect, it is my perogative. There are no quilt police.
I use a Digital Camera
to make photos.

It is much quicker than my 35-mm camera because of the turn-around time for developing.
Good photos make a huge difference in your success or failure on ebay. And being able to see the photos instantly gives you the option to retake and get them just right. Now I can take photos anywhere in the house or outside.
I usually take photos in the afternoon when the light is better outside, earlier if it is overcast. Cropping these good photos is a must. Saving picture loading time is a number "1" priority.

Moonlight Antiques
Anything that does not bring a enough funds on ebay is placed in our store. Many times items are sold for more in person.
We live in a beautiful area surrounded by mountains and lakes and there are lots of tourists looking for collectibles.

Our area is noted for Crystals and Diamonds found lying on top of the ground. Mine owners near by will let you search for a fee.
Hot Springs is the site of the Original Hot Springs Mountain Waters, a natural spring, enjoyed by millions from around the world for centuries.
Hot Springs offers the tourist many wonderful thrills on the lakes, at our Mountain Tower, and Scenic Drives in the downtown mountain trails. Visit the Fordyce Bathhouse which is a tourist center downtown that has been restored.

It offers a thrilling historical review of the Hot Springs area.
The natural springs in the downtown area are known for producing hot steamy water from the earth at 143 degrees Fahrenheit.
Also downtown, we have a growing arts community from around the world. Dozens of artists and gallery owners have transformed Victorian and early 20th century buildings into dynamic showplaces for an amazing outpouring of creativity. From modern sculpture to classic paintings, the thriving fine arts community has earned Hot Springs the Number 4 position among "America's Top Small Art Towns."
The Hot Springs Summit Arena and Convention Center takes pride in the quality of the food and beverages served during each convention. All your needs are also well covered with two quality hotels connected to the Convention Center, one at either end - Embassy Suites Hotel and The Austin Hotel. Over 300,000 sq. ft of exhibit space, 16,000 ballroom, 8 loading docks, 2,000 hotel rooms nearby and 4,000 in the spa area. It is a non-union facility. Harry Connick Junior stopped and entertained the spa city in 2004 with standing ovations. Really Great!

We have the Oaklawn Jockey Club Racetrack that is open from February through the first week in April. It celebrated its 100 year anniversary in 2004 and always promises an exciting season with special events, celebrations, contests, promotions and new casino operations. The top thoroughbreds, jockeys and trainers go after some of America's most lucrative purses and prizes.
Our fun park and water park opens each spring and is called Magic Springs/Crystal Falls. It has a 10 story looping yellow "Gauntlet" roller coaster.
Be sure to go downtown and take a walking tour and see the Grand Promenade on Hot Springs Mountain.
There is the Mid America Science Museum off of 70 West, and Garvan Woodland Gardens off of Carpenter Dam Road.

The spa city serves up more than 200 great restaurants, casual to elegant. The Travel Channel called a popular Hot Springs barbecue spot one of the world's best. There is excellent Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Cajun cuisine, and traditional American food.
We have magic shows, a music show, outdoor drama and several nightspots.

Hot Springs is full of entertainment for all ages.
We are surrounded by 4 beautiful lakes and our fishing is the best in the world. Lake DeGray, Lake Quachita, Lake Catherine, and Lake Hamilton sparkle with fun and excitement.

There is largemouth bass, striped bass, hybrid bass and other game fish to a broad range of other outdoor recreation. There is lots of elbow room to ski, swim, float, sail, rent a houseboat, cruise your party barge, camp out, spread a picnic and just kick back and catch some rays on some of the cleanest, clearest waters on the planet.

Don't miss this vacation experience.
If you are one of my customers on ebay and have found my "me" page, I would like to thank you for your business.
Thank you for viewing my articles for sale.
My Best to You and Sweet Dreams.
