A little history about Cingin Pens.

     I started handcrafting pens in 2003. Shortly thereafter I was selling every pen I could make, either locally to friends or worldwide on Ebay. The number 1 question my customers had was, "Where can I find a refill for this pen?" I noticed some other people making and selling pens would steer their customers toward office supply stores. Not being one to blindly send someone on a wild goose chase, I went to these stores and their selection was sparse and they didn't carry the refills my customers needed. I was able to locate some online stores that carried the right refills and I would send my customers to them. After about 3 years of making pens, I took about 8 months off.

     I began making pens again at the beginning of 2007. I picked right up where I had left off with the sales. The same question was being asked again, "Where can I find a refill for this pen?" This time I decided to learn more about the question at hand. I did a lot of research on the internet and found a distributor for ink refills and fountain pen ink. Now I could supply my customers with the refills they needed. The only problem now, I was spending most of my time working on the website, taking pictures of the products, writing copy, packing the orders, printing labels, postage, keeping track of sales, ordering new products and tracking inventory. This left little time for making pens. It has a touch of irony.
