Where did all this stuff come from?
Many of the items you see here on ebay have personally been used by me. I started repairing and building in 1979 and started selling test equipment and ham gear in 1990 and have been on eBay since 1997. I am constantly upgrading my test bench and ham station and sell these items as a hobby and part-time second source of income.Ellis Electronics specializes in test equipment, ham and two way radio gear, electronics books, and odd items of electronics. Important Shipping Information
Ellis Electronics has UPS pick up here daily. Hence, our preferred method of shipment for most items is via UPS.Books are often sent Media Mail rate via US Postal Service.
If you are purchasing an item from me, here is how I figure the shipping charges: UPS ground rate from Pikeville NC to your location.
There is also a small fee associated with each item to cover packing.
Please add the following packing charges to the shipping amount:
For items weighing up to 3 lbs, add $2.00.
From 4-10 lbs, $3.00.
From 11 to 24 lbs, $4.00.
For 25lbs & over, $5.00.
International shipments: Please add $3 extra to the above fees.
This covers the packing and shipping material that I must purchase, and the daily fees charged by UPS. The same packing charges apply if you opt to use another shipper, such as USPS.
Other methods of shipping are available, such as parcel post, and UPS next day air. We also will ship most items internationally.
To figure shipping charges, please send me the address where the item will be shipped to. I require this if you are the successful bidder to compute shipping charges. At any time during the auction, you can send an email with your zip code, and I will let you know the shipping costs.
Close of Auctions
To complete the sale, and to remain the successful bidder, I need to hear from you within 72 hours of the auction closing (also per ebay). Payment is expected to reach me within 7 days from the time the auction ends. If you cannot make these deadlines, you need to tell me up front, and I will try to work with you. If you fail to follow thru with these terms, I may offer the item for sale to the second highest bidder(s)and post negative feedback.
Paying for Items
We accept Money Orders, Personal Checks (Please allow 5 to 7 business days to clear), and accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover via PayPal.
NC Residents: Please note that there will be 6.75% Sales Tax added to all orders.
Due to long delays in receiving payment, No COD's are accepted.
Terms, Conditions, and Guarantees
Warranty and condition of items:
I attempt to fairly describe the condition of all items. If an item does not work, or will be sold as-is, then this is plainly stated. All other items are sold in good working condition. If you are not satisfied with an item rated other than AS-IS, I will make it right, by either refunding your money less shipping charges if you return the item, or I will work with you to make some other form of refund.
AS-IS items are generally not refundable, except under special circumstances.
