My husband and I have been doing eBay now part time for about 7-1/2 years. My husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On February 8th 2007 the doctor called my husband letting him know that they could do the surgery the next day on the 9th. During this time, we had tons of auctions that had been paid for, ended, and more ending during the next whole week. I figured I would be able to ship everything out (one week late) after my husband got out of the hospital. My husband was doing well, the sugery was a success and he came home. All orders were to be shipped on 2/19. Unfortuantely on Sunday night 2/18 my husband was not feeling too well. By monday morning 2/19 he was having extreme head pain and told me he did not feel right. He was shaking and just did not look good. I called a ambulance and had him rushed to Brigham & Woman hospital. When I got there, they told me his sodium levels had dropped well below normal which was causing swelling in his brain. They said they had to bring him into ICU and admit him. They also told me he could start to have seizures and possibly die since he was in critcal condition. I got home from the hospital on Friday 2/23 pm. I was there since Monday and spent every night & day in the ICU with him for his fear and mine. I returned home since he just got moved off the ICU and the worst was behind us. I was so sorry for this delay. While he was in ICU, he was thinking of all our wonderful ebay customers saying that the orders must go! I got such a wonderful response from everyone and was able to ship from that friday afternoon, and had them delivered at 6pm saturday at the post office. I spent 22 hours shipping them and it was not difficult with everyones thoughts and prayers. Now it is Mid March and my husband is doing terrific! He wanted me to set this up to the wonderful people on ebay and to thank them for all the prayers and understanding. Here is some of the wonderful emails that we received.....

Just wanted to let you know there is absolutely no rush in shipping these. Just respond to me when you can about the shipping amount and I'll process for payment the same day. I'm so sorry about your husband's diagnosis but am glad the surgery was successful! Best regards,

I am so sorry to hear that your husband has had to endure a brain tumor. Ironically, I work for a neurosurgeon and have seen this scenario on several occasions. Don't worry, I won't be home until Monday and back to work on the 27th which is where the package is being sent!!! So don't worry. God bless you and your family.

Hi, I just wanted to say I am sorry to hear about your husband mentioned in the feedback. Hope everything is okay. I too was wondering about my coat that I bought, so thought I would check the feedback and see if there might be a problem. Now I understand. Just wanted to say there is no hurry whatsoever about my silly coat (very small in the big scheme of things) and don't worry I will not be leaving anything in the feedback but positive. thank you for your reply it was unnecessary for you to open your heart up to a stranger , so thank you on behalf of all your customers..I know exactly what you are going through my son in law had a brain tumor when he was only 32 years old unfortunately it was not able to be operatated on and he is no longer with us. tell your husband that it does not matter about a silly bunch of stuff we buy from him that he is much more important, we can always get stuff but we cant get him so he needs to please dont stress about anything but to heal and think only good relaxing thoughts and take it slow and eat very healthy and of course keep God by his side..thank you for the shipping the skirts will take on new meaning now.

Hi, I understand what you have gone through because my husband had surgery last month and was in the hospital for two weeks. The delay in shipping is not a problem for me and I am glad to hear the worst is behind you.

I can't even imagine going through something like that! I hope he continues to improve! Thank you for letting me know about the delay.

I just wanted you to know that my wife and I will be keeping you and your family in our prayers. We did not get an email so we did not know why the item was delayed. I want to encourage you by letting you know that God loves you and you are not alone at this time. There is a passage in the Old Testament book of Isaiah that means so much to you. I pray that it will minister to you. This is a promise from God to His childrenhose who have said yes to Christ. I know it to be true and I pray that it is true for you.

God give you strength.. I understand your situation... Please know i understand... Dont worry about when i get my item.. Try to focus on your husband..I believe in hope!!!! You tell your husband he doesnt know me but a military family has him in our prayers... God will help you and believe in hope...It will be ok.. I lost my father this year, but god gave me 36 yrs to know him i am blessed.Try each day to not be stressed.I found crocheting.. Now i make scarfs and baby blankets for family and friends, mabe try this craft.. This is something you can pick up and put down whenever.. It helped me a great deal..
