The Midwest Emporium began as a passion for Antiques and Collectibles and has developed into a full time business. We are a husband and wife team who operate our business with the goal to attain the highest standards of excellence.
In our store you will find a variety of Antiques and Collectibles, like Advertising, Vintage Art, China and Dinnerware, Holiday items, Jewelry, Kitchenware, Pottery, and Toys. Richard specializes in Lighting while I enjoy the FUN of offering Collectibles, Gifts of Glassware, China, Jewelry, or whatever unique and exciting things we stumble unto in our quest for goodies!
Due to the fact that we once sold in several area antique shops, we have a large inventory. Every effort is made to provide merchandise to You at reasonable prices. If you don't see what you need, Please ask. We may have just what you are looking for! If so, we'll be happy to list it in our eBay store for you. |

Recently we obtained access to a large variety of lighting products, and are adding more regularly.
For those who love antique or vintage lighting, or want to restore an old home, we are constantly on the search for Lighting Supplies.
BE PREPARED for those electrical outages from both summer and winter storms! A Kerosene Oil Lamp can be a really handy item to have in your home or stored with your emergency supplies! Make sure you have EXTRA Parts and Supplies on hand, incase you loose electrical power.
You will find lots of replacement parts for both Electric and Vintage Oil Lamps. We hunt for New and Used Glass Lamp Shades and Lamp Chimneys, Plus Ceiling and Fan Light Globes |

Glassware is a special favorite of mine, and I love finding new treasures! Among our Glass Selection you'll find everything from 40s, 50s, 60s, Art Glass, Carnival Iridescent, Contemporary recent pieces, Depression Glass, Fenton & LG Wright, Figural Shoes, Bells, Animal Figurines, Victorian, and Westmoreland, to name a few~~
We have a marvelous collection of Covered Animal Dishes in several sizes, and a variety of colors, plus Slag and Carnival Glass. They make great hide-aways for misc little things that you want to keep Out-of-site, like a small pin cushion, needle, spool of thread, and tiny sewing scissors. I like to have those handy beside my chair, so I can do little mending jobs while watching TV. They also make great covered soup bowls at Easter time.
Live in a small apartment with limited space? Our tiny Salt Dips, Cellars & Toothpicks, in lots of patterns, shapes and colors make a terrific, fun, tiny collectible.

- In Kalona, Iowa the English River Antiques is on Main Street. Kalona is an Amish and Mennonite town. Yes, they have horse drawn buggies in Kalona and lots of great antique & gift shops. If you love quilts, visit Kalona.
- In Amana, Iowa the Smoke House Square Antique Mall is located 1 block north of the main street. Amana is one of 7 early German settlements and they all have wonderful Antique shops, wine tasting, delicious food, bakeries, quilts, and the Amana Woolen Mill.
- For farm fun, take a trip to Dyersville, Iowa the home of Ertl Toys and the National Farm Toy Museum, the Field of Dreams (Kevin Kostner Baseball Movie) and the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier. The Plaza Antique Mall is at the Junction of Hwys 20 & 136. There you'll see actual Restored Vintage Cars and Trucks, along with great Antiques and Collectibles for sale.
