The history behind Itty Bitty Boutique... here's how my business began.
A friend of mine introduced me to eBay in February of 2002. I was pregnant with my daughter, and she told me I could find some great deals on baby items there. I said, "Why not? I love to shop... I'll check it out!" Then she warned, "Be careful though ~ eBay is addicting!" Needless to say, I quickly became an "eBay Junkie"! Here I am 6 years later, still a huge eBay fan. I've progressed from shopaholic to Power Seller... and discovered I enjoy selling just as much as buying. I especially love designing and creating infant & toddler "boutique" clothing. Thus the name Itty Bitty Boutique. Since all 3 of my little ones are now in school, I have more time and energy for making my custom creations. I'm working on new styles and ideas which I'm very excited about. After all, that's where all the fun is! I take great pride in my little business, and appreciate all the support I've had from my fellow eBayers!

 As for my family, here's how it began...
I'm a California Girl through & through. I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, and moved to San Diego County at a young age. I grew up in sunny southern California... lovin' every minute of it! My most cherished memories are here, as well as all my family, my closest friends and of course the gorgeous beaches! In 1996, I met the love of my life here, Danny. He is my very best friend! We were married in 1999 at a quaint, Victorian schoolhouse. Danny, unlike me, was a Navy Brat... always moving from state to state; country to country. In 1998, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and enlist in the US Navy. I am very proud of him, but with the military comes... you guessed it... moving! So, I shook the sand off my flip flops, packed up my beach towel & bikini, and it was off to the east coast! We lived in Virginia for 3 years and Maine for 2 years. While seeing how the rest of the country lives, Danny and I took on another military family tradition... "baby making". Every time he returned from deployment we were pregnant again. Between 2000 and 2003 we had the three most beautiful babies on earth! Ethan (7), Madison (6) and Killian (5). Yes, we had three under three... which is so much fun, but very exhausting! Our children were our motivation to move back near family who could help us out. Which brings me back to California... we moved back here four years ago, and of course, we're still lovin' every minute of it!!!

When I came home on leave, I thought I would surely have changed into a dashing figure... just because I was dressed for the part. But my friends laughed when they saw me in my navy uniform. I guess I must have been a sight, but I didn't realize I looked that silly. And I was so proud to come home in that uniform!

Under that neatly pressed uniform is the man who wakes up extra early on the weekend so I can sleep in, takes the kids out to play, then comes back to wake me with a Starbuck's Amaretto Mocha and a kiss.
Every day we spend together as a family is an adventure! He takes us to the park to fly kites on sunny days... and makes extra buttery popcorn for us to eat on rainy days while watching movies under a fort made from the sofa cushions & blankets. He even made an actual igloo in the back yard when we lived in Maine... despite it being only 9 degrees outside. I must mention the wagon rides also... this is Danny & the kids favorite thrill, although it scares me. All four of them pile into our Radio Flyer red wagon and go racing down the hill as fast as they can! I never can watch, so I'm still not sure how they stop???
When he can't be with us he always calls, and he leaves me surprise love notes to find while he is gone. When he returns, it is with big bear hugs and playful wrestling... even if it has only been one day. He is fun-loving, encouraging and thoughtful. He is dedicated, helpful and comforting. He is a joker, a romantic, a precious friend, a loving husband and he has three votes for the best dad on earth!
    
Oh yeah... and he is an outstanding Sailor too!

JANUARY 2009Whew! Made it through another holiday rush... In the midst of holiday gatherings, chaotic shopping and decorating, our family still found time to share quiet moments and celebrate the blessed season. As busy as the days have been over the past couple of months, I'm sorry to see the Christmas season come to an end. I adore the magical times we share over the holidays with our family & friends. This year was especially fun (and a bit silly) as we spent hours on Christmas evening doing karaoke at Grandma and Papa's house. Hey... it's a bit like caroling! The giggles I get from thinking about that alone should hold me over until next Christmas. :) In the meantime, I'm looking forward to 2009... there is always something exciting about starting a new year. Wishing you all the best in 2009! ***We are happy to announce the addition of two fury, new babies into our household. Our baby girl, Bella Blue, and our baby boy, Jasper, are the two sweetest, adorable and surprisingly sociable kittens around. They've added a little more LOVE to our home... XOXO!
Of course, I need to update my eBay listings to read, "items from a smoke-free environment", rather than a "pet-free and smoke-free environment". Bella Blue & Jasper are worth the extra work though. ;) In case you are concerned, they DO take weekly baths (yes, my cats ACTUALLY take baths!) so they don't get cat hair all over... eew! Even funnier is the fact that they wear clothing... and they like it! Maddie just loves putting Bella Blue in her tiny "doggie" dresses with a corsage on her neck... too cute!
