I am happily married with 2 children and eBay, for me, is a Godsend, I find selling the stuff my children no longer need means I can splurge and buy them stuff that they don't really need! Also, I was one of those little girls that always wanted a shop, so I guess some 30yrs later I have a virtual one! lol! I don't really want to harp on, all self-righteous, but having gained some experience of eBay over the last couple of years, feel happy that I sit in the camp with the honest eBayers. I always try my best to be truthful in my listings, post out as quickly as possible, and (a real important one for me) I don't make any profit from postage...I find it a real bugbear when I locate an item I've wanted for ages, only to find that it comes under the 'sellers standard rate' bracket and is ludicrously over-priced delivery-wise.
I also try to offer a high level of after-sales service, and will always help if items go astray...I have had a couple of near-misses delivery-wise, but thankfully parcels turned up in the end, either with purchaser or back to me, as I always put my return address on the back. In my opinion it is the SENDER'S responsibility to ensure delivery, as Royal Mail will only accept claims from the sender! So if you do buy from me, rest assured that I will make every endeavour to ensure that you receive what you pay for!
I also occasionally hold auctions for charity, and have raised some £500.00 for good causes over the last year or so - initially I was using another eBay ID, but I found it rather tiresome flitting between the two, so I do them all using this one. Friends often kindly donate items, and I sometimes find items - often I list items to help with the cost of listing the charity items (all those items eh?!)! I don't have a particular selected charity, but I tend to support children's charities, although I have raised some for kidney patients, and for a little boy that desperately needed a new sax!! Thanks to all those that have supported me.
If you wish to ask me any questions, please do!
Many thanks for reading my page!
