Who is Jim Carter?
Hi everybody! My name is Jim Carter. I am a Musician/Performer out of Orlando, Florida. I have been in the entertainment industry for over thirty years with experience in singing, acting, voice-overs, stage and show direction, stage management and cruise direction. My hobbies are Disney, Star Trek and animation collecting and writing music.
So why EBAY!?!
Since I have been in the lamorousworld of entertainment for so many years, the obvious question arises, "Why Ebay!?!"
Well, after being in this business as long as I have and working away from home as much as I have I reached that point in my life where I decided I needed to take a step back and spend more time with my girls. (I have two incredible daughters.) The problem was that I HATE STEPPING BACK!! I can stand not being busy. I loath not working. So I needed to find something I could do that (one) I would enjoy doing. (two) Make enough money to make up for the income I would loose by not touring. (and three) Give me the freedom to still work around my hometown as a musician.
You have to understand, I LOVE being a musician and I have no intention of ever giving that up. But if I can tour any more I have to make up the financial difference some how. Now any one who knows me knows that I definitely not a nine-to-five type of person. And straight sales is unquestionably not my thing. So I went to some of my friends (also musicians) and asked their opinions. Just about every one of them said, "Take a look at Ebay!" So I did. And I liked what I saw! Having an Ebay business gives me the freedom to set my own hours, work as much or as little as I feel I need to, and design a business based on items I have knowledge of.
Now, Il be the first to admit that this is, for the most part, new to me and that Ie got a lot to learn. But with a little help from my (Ebay) friends, a little time, and a lot of hard work I believe that Il have a "top of the line" Ebay business in no time.
