Welcome yarn shoppers, A little about me. My background is in art - painting, drawing and printmaking. However, roughly 20 years ago I went into Nursing in order to better earn a living. I continued artistic endeavors mostly through home decorating, cooking, gardening, quilting and collecting antiques. A few years ago, I picked up knitting again and was thrilled with the yarns that weren't available when I learned knitting as a youngster. Such colors and textures! I quickly acquired a huge yarn stash!

 

A couple years ago, I offered to sell some antique dishes and teapots on eBay for my parents who were getting rid of their collections. I started selling items from my own collections as well, including some of my yarn stash. I quickly realized that shipping yarn is much easier than shipping fragile dishes and teapots. Ten months ago, I moved from Chicago, Il. to Ohio to spend some time with my sister. I decided it was time to open my eBay store, selling beautiful hand dyed yarns and exotic yarns, and patterns. I opened my store in July 2005. Since then, I moved back to Chicago. I am presently featuring handdyed Blue Heron Yarns and unique Habu Textile Yarns from Asia, utilizing the Japanese pattern system.
