Located in Beaver, in the shadow of suburban Pittsburgh, Diamond Jim's was named the best area card shop by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Jim Tripodi

Jim Tripodi, owner and founder of Diamond Jim's, was a newspaper writer and editor from 1970-1989. He has won numerous awards for writing and design, including an APSE award for his interview with the glove of Andy Van Slyke in 1988.

Jim left his desk job during the 1989 World Series and opened Diamond Jim's on November 1, 1989. He has hosted his own sports-card radio talk show, and is a frequent guest on KDKA 1020.
