Welcome!! We'd like to tell you a little about us ...
Our store, The Place To Shop, originated because of my love to shop, bargain shopping, that is. I just can't seem to pass up anything on sale or marked down for clearance. I guess it all started when our 6th son was little. Being the youngest of 6 boys and born 8 years after our 2nd youngest son there were no more hand-me-downs to pass along. This is when I began to check out the end of the season clothing racks and would stock the closet with lots of brand new items for him to grow into as time passed. Up until just recently our youngest son had a brand new wardrobe waiting for him when needed - at a great price! Now that he is almost 15 he no longer really likes what Mom picks out. So... now my "shopping sprees" continue but I have decided to pass the savings on to others.
Please take a few minutes to browse through our shop and pick and choose the items you'd like to purchase. Whenever possible we will do all that we can to combine shipping charges. Please keep in mind, that whenever purchasing videos, books or cds you will get a better deal with the shipping if we use the Post Office's media rate which only applies to these particular items. These would have to be shipped together in order for you to get them at this low shipping rate. If you find another auction that you want in addition to the media item/items we can still discount the shipping charges.
While we are on the subject, please understand that the term "shipping charges" entails more than just the actual postage. Take into consideration the time and effort it takes to package your items with the TLC we think our customers deserve (packing materials, tape, etc.) to get your items to you safely, the gas it takes to get your items to the Post Office (we live 20 miles outside of town), the time it takes to stand in line to mail them, etc. At times we've had the experience of paying extra postage because we didn't quite calculate correctly. In these cases we just absorb the cost. Other times we may choose a cheaper rate while at the Post Office because they tell us you will receive the items quicker. Believe us, when we tell you we are not getting rich from the shipping rates. Also, most of the items are brand new that we are selling but in order to resell them we start our auctions off at a lower price than what we actually paid for them then hope they at least go for a reasonable final value. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't but we're having fun selling!! And really hope you are enjoying your purchases!!
We want to make your visit and purchases as pleasant as possible. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to answer any concerns you may have. Please be patient as we also have day jobs in addition to selling here on E-bay so you may have to wait a little bit for an answer but we guarantee that you will get one.
