we are family

 Every summer, my wife, Margie, my daughter, Ariana , and I, Mitch, live for two months in a small artists’village on the island of Bali. We have done so over the past ten years as a way of expanding our understanding of the world and of the vatieties of human experience. The island of Bali is an island of magic, in both the literal and figurative sense. The village in which we live is at the heart of the area in which a great variety of Balinese arts and crafts have been produced for ages. Many generations ago , the Raja decreed that all artists in Bali must come to live in this area. Since that time each village has become known for its own unique art or craft. In Bali, the creation of art fosters family continuity, as the elders pass on their skills to the younger generation. Over the years, as we have developed relationships with some families, we began to bring their creations back home. Thus, we developed a way to continue to support our annual two month depatures from our day jobs (we are both psychotherapists by profession).

dreams

 The items that we offer reflect our personal interests and passions. My daughter is interested in dance, art, batik, costume and fashion design. My wife is a potter, appreciates great scuplture, and has a great eye for beauty and quality. I am the collector preferring ancient beads and antique ikats and textiles. We consider our selves blessed to be able to share with you the fruits of our journeys, and , at the same time provide support for ourselves and for the artists whose creations we bring you. Ebay has given us the opportunity to dream that we might be able to expand our little adventure so as to be able to spend more time on that magical island. As a result ,we want to develop business relationships with people here who are interested in the types of things that we could get there. Please check out our
