It started with a lunch box, not dishes directly. Remember the sandwiches your mother made for your school lunch? Just opening this 1960 lunch box brings back the memories!

That was just a starting point for developing a fondness for the family china and dinners served on those special dishes.

The thrill of the hunt for those memorable and collectible finds gets us out several times a week. We're always looking for more dishes, dinnerware, china, bakeware and tabletop components to help you in table setting and collecting those special dishes. We like lots of cool things, but are especially drawn to the vintage items from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Years ago, I outfitted several households via my Saturday morning hunts, taking $20, hitting the garage and estate sales, and stopping only when the money was gone and the car was full. It was wonderful fun, and I got loads of great stuff!

We still enjoy the hunt, and sell a diverse mix of items, including many household and kitchen articles. We also have a special soft spot for items that might be called “American farmhouse” – Pyrex mixing bowls, Corning and Fire-King casseroles, vintage china and dinnerware of all kinds. (Ever watch the movie, "The Bridges of Madison County," just to look at the dishes in that 1960s kitchen?)
