The "Cat Stuff"
I had been breeding
Himalayan and Persian
Persian
cats since 1990 and selling the kittens as pets to other cat lovers like myself. Because of my tremendous passion for cats, I have a tendency to pick up at least one of every other cat item that I find, no matter where I go. As new kitten adoptive parents would come to pick out their kittens, they would see all of my "stuff", and badger me to sell
my things to them. This started an "Items for Sale" area in my garage so that I
could keep MY stuff. Kitten buyers could purchase what they liked, take it
home, and enjoy it in their homes.
The "Dog Stuff"
After taking a few too many "guilt trips", I was persuaded to carry dog items as well for my fellow dog loving friends. This began the start of a whole new idea in retail sales. I actually have more dog items for sale than I do cat items, contrary to what I ever would have thought.
The "Quarry
Critters"
One of my favorite collections
are Second Nature Design Quarry Critters. It seemed many of the kitten
purchasers wanted at least 3 or 4 of my cat Quarry Critters, so I started
carrying them along with my other cat toys, treats, etc. My daughter is as
infatuated with frogs as I am cats, so I had to start getting them as well.
From here, the saga continues.
"What’s Next & Where Does it End?"
My biggest problem has been finding a stopping point. Somehow, my “garage sale” keeps growing! I happen on something that catches my eye, or captures my heart, and I want to carry it in my store! Don’t be surprised at what you may find at any given time. I will continue to add and grow as long as I can get away with it.
