Dear Customers,
Wow!
Where do I even begin? Since the last time I updated this page, so
much has changed! We have exciting news on the music front.
Alex has 3 internationally syndicated radio shows now. He has a
1950's Rockabilly Show called "It's Only Rock 'n Roll", a British
Pub Quiz Show called "Easties Pub Quiz"
or "EPQ" and "Easties Diabolical
Discs" Click here to learn more about
the formats and where you can listen in.
As for me, I've been working harder
than ever on getting our store stocked up and listing as many treasures as
possible. Check back weekly, as I will be listing between 100 and 200
new items every week. We have hired my best friend Robbie to help
with shipping so that I can focus on offering our customers the best
service and products possible. Robbie and I met when I was 5 years
old. We grew up on the same street, two houses apart. We've been
through it ALL together...Barbie dolls & cherry lip gloss to boyfriends
& heartbreak to marriage (or not) & children. It's a lot of
fun to be working together now.
Once again, I just want to close with
a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our customers, both old and new. You
have helped us build a business that we thoroughly enjoy and that allows me
to stay at home with our two boys. They're growing up so fast, and
thanks to you, I'm not missing any of those important moments!
We’re looking
forward to serving you,

About The Business:
|

|
Our inventory ranges from antiques and
collectibles, designer women's handbags to vinyl records and 78’s to
fine china and everyday dinnerware, plus much, much more. Basically, you
name it, we’ve got it – or will have it in the future. We try
to add 150 to 200 new items to our inventory every week. Alex, the DJ, has
never lost his love for vinyl and has always regretted selling his vast and
eclectic collection when he liquidized his business several years ago. He
has grown his section of Kookoo from 10 records to over 1500 just over 12
months. It is fast becoming one of our hottest store categories, check it
out! Learn more about how Alex rates his records using the Goldmine Rating System.
Our selection of dinnerware is our
fastest growing category. We try to keep our prices between 40% - 65% less
than the major on-line replacement retailers. We have a great selection of
Mikasa, Pfaltzgraff, Corelle, Noritake and Dansk, plus many, many more.
Replace a missing piece in your own pattern or start a new collection.
If you’re looking for something
in particular, be sure to get on our notification list. We will email you
if/when we get the items you’re looking for in stock. That way you
can bid early on the auction listings or “buy it now” directly
from our store. Just send us an email at requests@kookooforyou.com.
Please make sure to include your eBay userid and
a description of the item(s) you’re looking for in the body of the
email. Don’t forget to the domain “www.kookooforyou.com”
to your “safe” list so when we email you it won’t end up
in your “junk” or “spam” folder.
About Our
Policies:
Please read
our policies thoroughly and make sure that you are in agreement before you
place your bid or use the “buy it now” feature. Once a bid is placed, it will be
treated as a binding contract to complete the transaction.

Customer Service: We strive to provide each of our
customers with a 5 Star buying experience across the board. If there is
anything that we can do to improve your buying
experience with us; we want to hear from you! Our customers are
our #1 priority. If for whatever reason you would rate us with anything
less than 5 Stars, we ask that you give us an opportunity to resolve or
explain the matter before leaving feedback. Our feedback score is our
on-line credibility and we take it very seriously.
Shipping: Your package will typically be
processed and shipped within 3 business days of receipt of payment.
However there are times when it can take a bit longer. Our international
customers are responsible for any taxes or duty fees their specific country
will levy against their package. We cannot mark
“gift” on the customs form because, well…it’s
illegal. We primarily use UPS and USPS for shipping. We are very mindful
of shipping costs and we try to choose the shipping method that will be
most cost effective for our customers. If you have any questions
concerning USPS rates, or need to track your package, please go to www.usps.com. Also, you can find rates
and tracking information for UPS at www.ups.com.

Payment: Our only accepted method of
payment is PayPal. Due to eBay's policy changes, we can no longer
accept checks or money orders. You can pay using your credit card
or send money directly from your bank account via PayPal. If you do
not already have one, you can set up your FREE PayPal account here. PayPal also offers some
great buyer protections to help you feel safe buying online. You
can check those out by clicking
here. Payment is due no later than 3 days from close of
auction. If payment is not received within the 3 day period (and
other arrangements have not been made) a dispute and final value credit
fee will be filed with Ebay.
Returns: We do our best to represent every item we sell
fairly and completely and we will be happy to answer any questions you
have about an item before you bid. We provide a photograph in every
auction so that you can see in detail what you’re bidding on.
However, we will be happy to issue a full refund of your winning bid if
you receive an item that is not as it was described in the auction. You
will need to ship the item back to us within 3 days of receipt and we
will issue your refund as soon as the item is back in our possession and
we have determined that it is in its original condition. You will be
responsible for shipping both ways.

About Goldmine Rating Standards
For Records:
As with all of our listings, we do our best to represent each item
accurately and fairly. This
can be more difficult with records because condition can be fairly
subjective. That’s why
we’ve chosen to use the Goldmine Standard for rating our
records. The following ratings have been taken
directly from "Goldmine Records & Prices 3rd Edition.” We encourage you to ask questions
before bidding.
Mint (M): Absolutely perfect in every way -
certainly never played, possibly even still sealed. We will rarely, if ever, use this
grading unless we can guarantee that a record has not been re-sealed by
someone other than the manufacturer.
With Still Sealed (SS) records, let the buyer beware, unless
it’s a U.S.
pressing from the last 15-20 years.
European imports are not factory-sealed, so if you see them
advertised as sealed, someone other than the manufacturer sealed them.
|

|
|
|
Near Mint (NM or M-): A nearly perfect
record. Record shows no obvious signs of wear. 45 RPM or EP
sleeves should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost
invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. An LP jacket
should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any other noticeable
similar defect. No cut-out holes either. Same should be true
for any inserts.
Very Good Plus (VG+) or Excellent: Record will show some signs
that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took
good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear
and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect
one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the
sound are OK. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration,
but it should be barely noticeable. Picture sleeves and LP inner
sleeves will have some slight ring wear, lightly turned up corners, or
slight seam splits. LP jackets may have slight signs of wear also
and may be marred by a cut-out hole.
Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in a VG+
record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be
evident upon playing but will not overpower the music. Groove wear
will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel
with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred
by writing or have tape or stickers (or their residues) attached.
The same will be true for picture sleeves or LP covers
Good (G), Good Plus (G+): Good does not mean
Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a
turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have
significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A
jacket or sleeve will have seam splits. Tape, writing, ring wear or
other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
Poor (P), Fair (F): The record is cracked, badly
warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The
picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily
marred by wear and writing. The LP jacket barely keeps the LP
inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled and written
upon.

Alex's Radio Shows:
Easties Pub Quiz (EPQ)
is a British style Pub Quiz set in the local pub called "The Queen's
Legs" It mixes British humor, general knowledge and pop trivia
with great music. Beware! The double entendres run wild in this
show.
It's Only
Rock 'n Roll is a 1950's Rockabilly show. In addition to
playing some great tunes from the 50's era, Alex has interviewed some absolute
Rock 'n Roll legends like Wanda Jackson, Glen Glenn, Charlie Gracie, Billy
Adams, Joe Bennett and more. You can listen in on those interviews
during the show or download the podcasts at http://www.rockabillyhq.com
Easties Diabolical Discs is a radio show that
dedicates a whole hour to records that are so bad...they're good.
Laugh out loud as you listen to William Shatner's
version of The Beatles' "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" or El
Principe Gitano mangling both Elvis Presley's classic "In The
Ghetto" as well as the English language.
