CROCHET...My mother taught me how to crochet when I was about 8 years old. I remember practicing for hours, making great lengths of chain stitching. Back then I felt that this was a great accomplishment. My sister, who is 13 months younger, and I would see who could make the longest row of chain stitches.
This is a picture of me and my sister BEFORE we learned to crochet. :)
I taught my daughter and even my son how to crochet and now the tradition is being carried on because I started teaching one of my granddaughters how to crochet when she was eight. Sometimes I feel like I'm reliving my childhood as I watch her make yards and yards of chain stitches. She is so proud of them. (She is now making scarfs, wall hangings, blankets and bears. They actually aren't too bad for beginning projects.........of course, maybe that's just granny speaking though.)
I have crocheted many different items over the years. At one point my sister and I were crocheting craft items that we sold at bazaars and flea markets. Now I will try my hand at a new venue - eBay.
I have always enjoyed crocheting animals using different threads and yarns for different looks, often creating my own patterns. As a matter of fact, most of the animals I crochet are one of a kind now.
Each animal will come with a signed card showing that it's A Romans Creation.
