We aren't an ebay business...we're just two people with way too much stuff in the house... collector's to the nth degree. In addition, we often get "gifts" of clutter from others. We've had enormous rummage sales of stuff that was not ebayable, and enjoy selling on ebay.
Over time, we have decided that we don't need quite so many collections! We are also auction hounds, and love finding a good deal - but they don't necessarily need to stay in our house!
Policies: We ship out as quickly as we possibly can, usually the day after payment clears Paypal or the money order arrives. Everything we sell is as-is, and we work very hard to present any flaws/chips/cracks/rips we might find in any product we have up for auction. Because of rising postal rates, we now offer Flat Rate Priority Mail shipping through USPS - we try to ship with as low a cost as possible, but those rising costs make it tough! We do add $1.60 as a handling charge to each auction - $.60 covers the Delivery Confirmation and $1.00 to help us with our costs for boxes, packing material, and tape.
We are in the process of working through paying off some significant debt. Any sales on ebay goes towards the "BECC" (Big Evil Credit Card) and helps us get a little further in our Big Plan for saving, investing and retirement. See the link below for our money blog, Simply Us.
Kris does have a business making custom special occasion dresses, christening/baptismal gowns (especially out of old wedding dresses) and Memory Dolls or pillows out of customer's special occasion dresses. Occasionally, you may see something posted from her inventory. If you're interested, visit the link below!
Things coming up for auction (during fall 2007): Vintage dolls, vintage sewing patterns, vintage advertisements, silver (I know for sure we have a pitcher and three platters), some ceramic platters, some Norman Rockwell collectibles...let's see...Halloween and Thanksgiving items, books, vintage children's books, glassware, handmade items (washable refills for dusters, aprons, doll clothes, kids' clothes, purses and bags)...I'm sure there's more in my little ebay corner, but that's all I can think of at the moment!
More coming up at Christmas time - here's a sneak peek at my Christmas corner: Norman Rockwell Christmas village, Thomas Kinkade hanging ornaments in a village scene, needlework and cross-stitch kits, vintage Santa advertisements, and paintable kits!
