Founded in 1958 by John Rosenberg, Moorabool Antiques is now a well established second generation institution.
Located in Geelong, just a short drive from Melbourne down the M1 and at the crossroads to Hamilton, Queenscliff, Lorne and the Great Ocean Road, the 'new' premises is a historical landmark building, featuring two well lit gallery levels.
In this space is perhaps the most diverse range of Antiques in Australia: specialists in 18th and 19th century collectors porcelain, the ceramics range covers vast timespans and many countries. 5,000 year old Chinese pottery, Pre-Columbian pottery, Ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman pots, Medieval pottery, and Islamic pieces show the origins of the more familiar 18th and 19th century European ceramics. From Europe, you will find Meissen, Sevres, Bow, Chelsea, Worcester, and the many hundreds of small 18th & 19th century porcelain manufacturers.
Other items you will find include quality COuntry oak furniture form the 17th-19th centuries, Georgian mahogany, Victorian walnut, and arts & crafts of the early 20th century. Works of art from all periods complement a fine selection of Glass, Silver, Old Sheffield Plate, Treen, Objets d'Vertu......
