Hello - how are you? I'm good. Let me introduce myself. One of my other interests is feeding and taking care of the birds and whatever wildlife wanders into my back yard. I have over 10 places that I disperse bird seed so that the squirrels and birds do not have to struggle so much with each other to eat.  Our squirrels are all brown.  We have BlueJays, Cardinals, Wrens, Finches with red heads and brown heads, A Red Headed Woodpecker that is a bad bully, Yellow Canaries, Crackles, 3 Crows, Chicadees, numerous Doves, and a few more that I have to look up their pictures to see what kind they are,  3 chipmunks that are usually in their holes hiding from the wandering neighbors cats.   Also I have a Raccoon and oppossum coming at night - I don't know what happened to the ones that used to come last year.  In spite of common rumors they are extremely well behaved.

Now my new frequent visitor 2009 is another matter. The hawk is a protected species and I am not very fond of this particular bird. If you are feeding your backyard song birds regularly be aware of the Cooper Hawk.  Email me if you would like to share any thoughts.
