Grouped SHIPPING RATES for LaserDiscs (all items shipped from Tokyo, JAPAN)
Multiple wins/purchases are most welcome, and automatically rewarded by a grouped shipping postage rate which can result in substantial savings.
Note that economy and airmail parcels are not insured nor tracked, and therefore not suitable for shipping expensive items. Also, there is a 2kg weight limit for economy and airmail; because i use very strong boxes which are heavy, only 3 discs can fit within the 2 kg limit. Express is always tracked and insured, delivery in 3 or 4 days.
Rates for 1 / 2 / 3 discs in SUPER STRONG, CUSTOM MADE BOX:
- economy: $15.50 / 20.00 / 24.50 (3-4 weeks) to North America, Australasia, Europe
- airmail: $24.25 / 29.25 / 31.75 (1 week) to North America, Australasia, Europe
- express: $30.25 / 39.00 / 43.50 to North America, Australasia [REGISTERED INSURED TRACKED]
- express: $34.50 / 44.50 / 49.50 to Europe [REGISTERED INSURED TRACKED]
Rates for 4 / 5 / 6 discs in SUPER STRONG, CUSTOM MADE BOX:

- express: $63.50 / 63.50 / 72.50 to Europe [REGISTERED INSURED TRACKED]
Large parcels up to 30kg can ship surface (cheap but slow, can be insured but not tracked) or express tracked insured. E-mail me for details.
Rates above do not apply to Asia, Africa or South America. Multiple discs LDs obviously count for as many discs as they contain. A boxset usually counts for one disc (plus all it contains).
I use the absolute best shipping boxes in the industry ! These were custom designed for LDs, from my specifications based on the experience of sending thousands of discs around the world over the years. Damage rate is nil on my shipments. Below is my smallest box, for up to 9 discs: see how thick the cardboard is, and how large the package gets:

The largest box holds in complete safety up to 20 discs. Best of all, these boxes can usually be reused: keep them to ship your own LD sales. The same care is applied when shipping out DVDs and other items.
I can also ship in reused common boxes, i will put at least 2 together (double boxing) and reinforce with either a third box (triple boxing) or cardboard sheets, that is good to ship cheap LDs and saves much postage as follows:
Rates for 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 discs in REINFORCED DOUBLE-BOXED, REUSED COMMON BOXES:
- economy: $11.00 / 15.25 / 19.75 / 23.00 (3-4 weeks) to North America, Australasia, Europe
- airmail: $18.75 / 23.25 / 28.25 / 30.75 (1 week) to North America, Australasia, Europe
- express: $24.75 / 31.00 / 40.00 / 44.50 to North America, Australasia [REGISTERED INSURED TRACKED]
- express: $29.00 / 36.00 / 46.00 / 51.00 to Europe [REGISTERED INSURED TRACKED]
Beware of other LD exporters from Japan ! If they have cheaper postage rates than me, it means they use lighter, flimsy boxes. I know, i've seen and compared theirs. Don't take the risk of damaging your item just to save a few dimes.
PAYMENT POLICY (updated Nov 2009)
The main idea is to be flexible and neutral. I will accept any form of payment as long as it delivers me, net of all processing fees, the exact same amount of money, in a risk-free transaction. It is then up to the payer to select a form of payment, and pay the fees associated with it.
