Hello
and welcome to my 'about me' page!
|
My name is Selinda and
I've been an eBay member since Nov, 1998. I discovered
eBay quite by accident and I'm glad I did.
I'm also a devoted Rick
Nelson fan and and have a significant collection of
his memorabilia.
I started my Rick Nelson collection back in 1957, however
we lost everything
in April of 1975 due to an exceptionally severe tornado. Fortunately, and thanks
to the great sellers here at eBay, I've been able to
replace almost everything, plus a LOT more! I've also
found some other great items here on eBay including
a few Lee Middleton dolls, some books, and even some
house plants!

I'd like to share some
photo scans and other assorted Rick Nelson trivia with
you as a tribute to this great artist - voted by PEOPLE
magazine as "Teen-Age Idol of the 20th Century".

year-old Rick, with David, and Harriet.
Hopefully, most of you
who elect to look at my "About Me" page will remember
who Rick Nelson was. He was the son of Ozzie & Harriet
Nelson who's show was on radio and tv for 22 years.

Right: Rick is standing
behind Ozzie and David is standing behind Harriet.
Rick took up singing
at the young age of 16, but still stayed with his parent's
tv show as well as making major motion pictures and
also became the 6th highest selling recording artist
of all time.
|
1962
|
 |
Rick was the only recording
artist who ever really gave Elvis Presley any competition
back in the late 1950's and 1960's (up until the 'British
Invasion' aka Beatles)!
|
| He was still
recording and doing SRO performances right up until his
untimely death
in a plane crash on 12/31/85. At the time, he was on his
way to another SRO performance! |
 |
 |
He is still missed by
thousands of fans today and his recordings are being
re-released on cd's to this day!

is not with Rick during his early years in doing live concerts.
