Label FAQs
Are the labels self adhesive?
Yes - All of our labels have permanent adhesive as standard. Other adhesives are available such as peelable & freezer adhesive. Please contact us for more details.
What is the difference between Direct Thermal & Thermal Transfer Labels?
Direct thermal labels do not require your printer to have a ribbon. Thermal transfer labels require your printer to have a ribbon installed.
What core sizes do the labels come on?
Unless stated otherwise the labels will be supplied on a 25mm (1") Core which is suitable for most small desktop printers. We can also supply labels on 76mm, 44mm or 38mm cores at no additional cost. Please contact us if you are unsure which core size your printer needs.

Is there a warranty with this printer?
All new hardware is guaranteed for 12 Months (Printheads on new printers are subject to manufacturers warranty.) Second user hardware is guaranteed for 6 Months.
What is the difference between Direct Thermal & Thermal Transfer Printers?
Direct thermal printers do not require a ribbon as they print onto direct thermal labels and thermal transfer printers use a ribbon to print onto plain paper stock. As a general rule, thermal transfer printing is more suited to applications where the label is not in direct sunlight or where it needs to last longer than 12 months. Direct thermal printing fades after a period of time but is ideal for product labelling , address labels, barcode labels, etc.

Does this printer work with my Windows system?
This printer will work with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
