Greetings Fellow Collectors: During the past twenty-five  years I have been actively involved in collecting and selling items a "Gentlemen" from the 1890's would have worn or used. I attend, and display at about twenty western antique shows. This is where many of these wonderful items come from. Collecting these items instills a special feeling in those who collect them. This is because they were the "Cherished Possession" of "Gentlemen" now long gone. In their time these were some of the finest items available. Gentlemen of stature could afford gold-filled items and those made from, gold, silver, ivory and mother-of-pearl. Many of these items were very ornate and engraved. If only these items could talk. What stories could they tell? Where were they made? Who made them? How were they made? Who were their owners? Doctors, lawyers, bankers, judges, business owners or... perhaps even a President.
