My retail background is in selling photographic equipment, binoculars, telescopes, and related items either full or part time for over 23 years. During this time I managed two camera stores, one in San Angelo and one in Austin, Texas. I have sold new and used cameras of many different types, darkroom equipment, and other photo related items. My knowledge base covers both photography and photographic equipment. Photography was my major at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas 1971-74. I have also taught photography part time over 11 years. I still do as much personal photography as time allows.

In 1991 I started a knife business that is now called CutlersCove.com™. I got interested in knives while managing the camera store in Austin back in 1986. The knife interest grew and I decided that I could help my knife collection by selling a few knives on the side. The knife interest has now grown to the point that it is how I make my living. I have a knowledge base in most factory, and some custom knives.
