It's Been fun, But all good things must end

I first found eBay over 10 years ago. In the beginning I sold old Noritake china. Life was good. My buyers were great! I made money, and people found stuff that they had been wanting. My partner and I went separate ways, and I didn't sell for a little while.
When I came back things were different. Prices weren't as good, as a buyer, selection was lacking. But I tried to make it work. I found a few pieces that I wanted. I helped a few people find stuff that they were looking for. It was all good. Not great, but it was good.
Today, January 26th eBay has announced a new format for selling. Fees, although touted as the "LOWEST INSERTION FEES EVER" have managed to double. Insertion fees are only part of the equation. FVF or Final Value Fees are where the real expenses are. eBay now has the highest final value fees ever. It appears that my $150 a month bill to sell $1,000 in stuff will go up to $200 - $225. I cannot do this anymore.
The new eBay fees start March 30th. I will be closing down and leaving eBay by March 29th. Between now and then I will be selling off the last of the stuff I have sitting around here. On March 30th I will be taking all unsold items to Goodwill and toasting the end of an era.
