Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I've never purchased items from international sellers, is it reliable?
A: Essentially there is no difference in the purchasing process and delivery between Israel and the United States - save a couple of thousand miles!

Q: Will the current situation in the Middle East effect any of your eBay trading in any way?
A: The situation in the Middle East will have no effect whatsoever on any of our international transactions. We ship over 30 items a day to the US and worldwide with no problems. Occasionally, shipments will be delayed up to 48 hours due to security checks in our airport.

Q: I won one of your auctions, what now?
A: Shortly after the auction has ended our system will automatically generate a winning bidder notification which will be sent to your email address as registered with eBay. This email will include the total cost including shipping handling and insurance, our accepted methods of payment and any other relevant information. We will ship your item within 5 business days after receiving your payment.

Q: Should I anticipate any additional charges due to an international transaction?
A: There should be no additional charges in addition to the item cost, shipping, handling and insurance.

Q: How do you ship and how long will it take for me to receive the item?
A: Items are shipped from Israel within 5 business days after receiving your payment.

Items that sell for less than US$200.00 are shipped by Registered Airmail, Signature Required, which usually takes 15-21 days to arrive from shipping date.

All items above US$200.00 will be shipped by Express mail Service (EMS), which usually takes 5-7 business days to arrive from shipping date, for the same amount ($14.00), traceable at USPS.COM.

Q: Do you combine shipping on multiple purchases?
A: We do combine shipping: the first item is always $14.00 and each additional item is additional $7.00 regardless of the size, weight, value, etc.

Q: How much is insurance and do you recommend it?
A:Please contact us to verify the actual insurance cost. We strongly recommend that all items be insured! We are not liable for uninsured items lost or damaged during shipment. If you have purchased insurance for your shipment, we will file the insurance claim with the insurance company after receiving all relevant documents from the buyer.

Q: What are your accepted methods of payment?
A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal. Please see the item description for more details.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: Refunds are given ONLY if item is not as represented and shipped back within five days from receiving the item. ALL returns must be authorized.

Items authorized for return must be shipped by Registered and Insured mail and packed well, like we packed it. Item must be received undamaged and in original condition. We guarantee the items we sell are as described. Although every effort is made to ensure accurate dimensions and weights, the figures shown should always be treated as approximate. The pictures should be considered part of the item description.

Under no circumstance will a refund exceed the actual amount paid including shipping and insurance cost. Pasarel Ltd. is not responsible for any personal or third party losses.

Q: Why are you so strict on your return policy?
A: Firstly, there’s a huge difference between an eBay purchase and a store/website purchase. In many cases, you may have outbid someone else. Upon authorizing a return, not only have we lost a potential winning bidder but also all eBay fees and expenses involved in completing the initial purchase. In addition, there are also other costs to consider such as return shipping, insurance, customs clearance agency fees, foreign currency exchange fees, restocking, eBay's fees to list the item once again. Often, these fees will add up to a large portion of the original purchase price.

In the rare case that an item is not as described/pictured in the listing, we accept all responsibility and costs involved.

We take great care to honor all eBay rules and regulations as the seller. In return, we expect you, the bidder, to abide by eBay's Terms and Conditions and to maintain an equal respect for our policies noted within the listing as well as in our eBay Store. Please note that all purchases on eBay are considered a legally binding contract to complete the transaction.

Q: I've noticed that in the pictures some of your white gold jewelry appears to be yellowish, is it white or yellow gold?
A: We use a natural white gold which is a bit yellowish. However, upon request, we can remove any yellow tint by treating it with rhodium for no additional cost.

Q: I purchased a silver item and, although you stated the item is marked, I can’t seem to find the mark?
A: We guarantee all items that were declared by us as silver or sterling silver to be genuine. In many cases, the silver marks are very small and difficult to find. We recommend using a magnifying glass to thoroughly look for the mark. Typically, it can be found at the base area of the item or, occasionally, it is hidden by the decorations.

Q: I recently purchased a pair of candlesticks and they seem much lighter/flimsier than I expected?
A: We realize that many Americans and Europeans expect a heavier piece since it is common to weight/load silver items by filling them with plaster or cement. We do not do that to our items since many of our customers prefer items which are net silver.

If you’re interested in a weighted or loaded item you can do it yourself at a minimal cost. Simply get some plaster, mix it with water and pour it into the base of the candlesticks or candelabra and wait 5 minutes for it to dry.

Q: I recently saw a 14k yellow gold and turquoise ring designed by Billy Shmerling Sender on auction but I prefer it in 14k white gold set with tourmaline, can you do that for me?
A: Concerning Billy’s Jewelry, we are very flexible and we can accommodate almost any request concerning metal, stone or size. Please contact us with your request before bidding to determine the availability and if there is any additional cost.
