We are a family business, based in Norfolk, England.There are two partners Keith Lawson and Peter Smith and we are assisted by our wives Sandra and Carole and our daughters Heidi and Sarah Jayne. We have over 40 years experience in the antique trade. We specialise in royal memorabilia from pre Queen Victoria period right up to the present day. At any one time you will find over 3000 items in our online shop. We try to cater for all tastes with prices from $4 upwards. We appreciate that collectors of royal memorabilia cover a wide spectrum of tastes, and try to have a range to suit all. So we stock modern commemoratives right through to museum quality antique items. Understanding Condition Phrases

Some of the items we sell can be up to a 100 years old. As such, they can vary a great deal in condition. Some have been treasured, and are as the day they were made, others have been less fortunate. The condition determines our reserve. We give a condition report for every item, using the same terms as auction houses throughout the world.Please bid only if you understand and accept the condition phrases,this saves a lot of heartache on both sides.

Pristine
For an item to get this classification it must be absolutely perfect and in the condition it was on the day it was made.
Excellent
Without any damage or visible wear. Well above the condition you would expect for an item of this age.
Very Good
Above average condition, without any damage or repairs, some signs of age, but no chips, cracks or crazing.
Good
Without chips, cracks or repairs, but possibly some age, crazing or hair-line cracks. These will be noted in the description.
Fair
Still in presentable condition, but may have minor chips, cracks or crazing. These will be noted in the description.
Bargain Basement
Items described like this are damaged as noted, and are possibly suitable for restoration.

Please appreciate that the older a piece,the less chance you have of perfection,when you get back to early or pre Victoria - Very Good - is about as good as it gets :) Some china and porcelain of the Victorian period can be more crude in construction and design than the later pieces,also china and pottery commemoratives produced soon after World War II may have minor imperfections of manufacture. With the material shortages following the war, few could be rejected.

We sell all our Royal cards as Royal Commemoratives,not as autographs. They are sold in the spirit of which they were originally sent and accepted - As a wonderful personal token from a member of the British Royal Family.Every item is guaranteed genuine and original, and is accompanied by a Certificate of Provenance giving the history of the item.We sometimes mask the name of the person online,to respect their privacy,but it is still on the item.

It should be common sense that members of The Royal Family cannot personally hand-signed every letter and card they send out, and as the difference in price between a hand signed item and one with an autopen signature is quite significant,it is worth understanding the terms in general use to classify signatures. The terms used are generally understood and accepted by the people who buy and sell royal signed items.

If an item is described as 'Hand Signed' then it must have been signed by the hand of the person to whom it is attributed.

If it is described as 'signed' then it can be an autopen signature,but not a printed signature.

The signatures on all the Queens' cards are applied by a German machine called a "Signaturemaster".This signs in ink using a normal pen and mirrors the signature both in style and in depth contrasts.All the Queens' cards are done in this manner.The exception would be cards to members of her family and very personal friends.These are so rare that I have only seen a few come onto the market, and when they do the price is in the region of $1500.00.

All Princess Diana cards are applied by a Signaturemaster,except cards to her personal friends (These rarely come onto the market) and to members of her private staff .These only come up on very rare occasions.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana cards often have Prince Charles signature applied by a Signaturemaster and Princess Diana's signature hand signed.This usually happened when the card was to a person who Diana knew very well.
