We are a couple from the West coast (aka art coast) of Michigan who turned their lives around since finding EBAY. We started listing various objects left over from our own garage sales. The very first item was an Olympus OM 1 camera with a couple of auxiliary lens' that nobody cared for - after inquiring at Norman Camera in Kalamazoo on its worth as a trade in, they suggested trying EBAY. Our very first listing brought a final value of $535, and was shipped to Indonesia. We immediately researched the worth of a Buffett Crampon clarinet that no one cared to drop $20 bucks on, and found the very same anniversary issue clarinet listed on ebay with an opening bid of $550.00! We immediately listed ours at $450.00 to capture the first bid, and the clarinet sold for just under $500.00! So what once began out of the back room of a small pizzaria in Saugatuck has evolved into a retirement dream come true.

Our initial love to search the antique malls across the state on our days off has blossomed into treks across the continent with shipping boxes filling the back of the van, a glovebox stuffed with maps and 3 shipping tape guns at our side. Our wireless laptops and a portable printer purchased off of EBAY (at  fractions of the suggested retail prices) we print our shipping lables on the fly, and drop packages off at the next local post or UPS shipping office. The proceeds not only buy us dinner, but also PAY FOR THE GAS! NOW THATS GOTTA SAY SOMETHING!

We consider ourselves both fortunate and blessed to be able to travel and explore the beautiful United States of America while at the same time being able to provide unique items to buyers across the entire globe.

Where else but EBAY can you buy extraordinary high end astronomy gear, cameras and laptops at a fraction of the retail price as well as $48.00 swiss army knives for $2.00 a piece??? The limits are endless and we are amazed at the amount of our product that is sold within minutes of being listed!

Our tip of the day? ..  1. Personalize and use the "my favorite search's" feature of ebay to have ebay notify you immediately when others are posting rediulously cheap "buy it nows", it will save you hours of searching! and tons of $cash$! You never have to leave your easy chair. Let ebay find it for you. If you know a set of Boker stamps is worth $80.00 and someone will sell them to you for $10 its a no brainer ~DAILY BONUS ~

2. When listing an item we suggest to start out at a low opening bid, you will not only achive higher bidding activity, but "set the hook" by getting that first, second and third bid almost immediately. Once a person has placed that initial bid, they will feel as though they have a vested instrest in your product, and they will be reminded daily if and when they are outbid. - and i hate it when somebody outbids me..... it creates a mindset, somewhere between a game and gambling because it's just PLAIN FUN!

8/13/09 update: just returned from the "127 corridor" longest garage sale in the world, we only traveled 20-30 miles each day and were bushed by the end of the day. it was hot this year and we were simply amazed at the turnout. If you love antiques & garage sales - this is a wonderful experience as well as a beautiful drive!

We have been at this now for over 6 years and you can see by our feedback that it has become more than just a simple past time.
