To promote the enjoyment of cover collecting (First Day Covers as well as topical and event items) as a major subspecialty of stamp collecting by enhancing both the intrinsic and extrinsic value of personal collections around the world;

To encourage collecting worldwide for people of all ages, gender, ethnicity, collecting specialty, and level of philatelic expertise;

To utilize philately as a viable endeavor that is pleasurable, relaxing, rewarding, mentally stimulating, educational, and historically and culturally significant; and,

To feature quality philatelic offerings at affordable prices and provide them to fellow collectors with excellence in customer service and in accordance with sound business practices.

Hi! My name is Marty Severe and I'm from Rockville, MD. I'm really not "severe" at all! In fact, my customers find me most mild. I'm an avid cover collector and dealer specializing in Artcraft variety covers. I started collecting FDCs at 15 and became enamored with their artistic, cultural, geographic, and historic beauty. I've been "hooked" ever since!

I produce The Comprehensive Listing of Artcraft Covers; Their Varieties and Values which documents about 15,000 Artcraft collectibles (unillustrated). It retails for $29.50 + $3.50 shipping and is available to eBayers for $25.00 postpaid! (Fifth Edition has been sold out.)

I am hopelessly passionate about covers in general. My addiction has resulted in my accumulation of thousands of covers! Thanks to eBay, I am able to find good homes for my treasures, make new friends, have a lot of fun, and help spark an interest in collecting among our nation's youth, women, senior, and culturally diverse populations. Amidst an often hectic schedule, I retreat to my two stamp rooms at every opportunity to offer fellow eBayers a nice selection of quality and reasonably-priced items for their collections and to promote the enjoyment of our beautiful hobby.
