Greetings Friends!
Just something about me and my history. A Vietnam era vet. I have been a swapmeet trader since the early 70s and still am. Photo major in college has come in handy over the years. A self-made entrepreneur since the early 70s. Starting in mail order sales and moving on to the publishing industry by the late 70s. Printing and publishing is in my blood I guess. In the late 70s I also started selling magazine subscriptions by managing a subscription office. Have had many agents and customers over the years. By 1997 had my own site selling discount magazine subscriptions on the internet. Needless to say I have been dealing with customers on a personal basis for many, many years.
Moving on to eBay and current events.
I started dabbling on eBay in 1999. It has't been easy starting to sell on eBay, since I have been running two businesses as well. So I decided to give it a try. A great learning process. A few trials and errors but keep pushing on.
It's fun and exciting and hopefully bring some others a few treasures they will appreciate.
I know one thing and that is how to treat customers. By being honest and straight forward. Customers come first in my book.
The formula is quite simple, if you treat a customer well that customer will come back again and again and that customer will tell others about you. If you are dishonest and ignore your customers and treat them badly by not answering emails, etc. then they will move on, never to return. Thus you will loose more than you know.
By treating customers great and offering great products and service you are telling them something. It's called respect.
Please be aware of Postal Rate increases that have drastically increased the cost of any First Class parcel. Rates have increased across the board. I have to charge a small amount for handling, that includes quality padded envelopes, quality boxes, and packing materials, which include peanuts and bubble wrap when necessary. All these costs add up. I stock all these materials on an ongoing basis. Then I drive your packages to the post office to insure it gets into the system as soon as possible. I appreciate your business.
Aloha and Best Wishes to all my customers and friends on eBay.
