Hello, Mr 黄 here from Singapore. I really don't know what to write here, as l found myself really nothing special. I am just a normal guy who got aspiration to own a biz since l was 18 years old. I don't have a wealthy background so when my dad passed away at my age of 10 years old. Pehaps of this, motivate me to work hard. During my poly times (college time), I took a loan from the bank and need to repay them back after l graduate. However, that time l am in army (Singapore at the age of 18 and above need to serve army for 2.5 year) and l am earning only US$150 from the army. The Bank call my army to look for me to repay the loan by instalment of US$50. Meaning that after the deduction I am left only US$100.

That is really down part of my life, luckily l am just a clerk in the army due to my weak health. I am manage to stay out of camp during weekends and work as waiter in the hotel to pay the instalments and additional income. In fact when my army finish, l manage to save up the total amount of the school fees l owe to the bank and clear the debts.

After the army time, l started as sales engineer. In the meantimes, I found that I ought to pursue my dream. I venture into my own stuff. There are many stuffs l try and eventually I lose almost all my savings.

The reason l landed to sell pens begin with one of my failed venture. That year, I created a concept call God of Fortune. That time l found a pen that l really like alot called 3 in 1 pen. Something l found it smartly made. I started to fall in love with the pen. I partnership with one of my ex army-friend to launch this god of fortune. We got people to impersonate god of fortune to sell the pens. It is selling extremely well. As we purposely make it like gold bar, and propose that with this 3 in 1 pen the buyer will use this pen to draw on lottery tickets and the chances of striking lottery is very high.

As l also impersonate myself, l started to sell the pens. l realise that I am more technical person toward this pen rather than about the lottery concept. I explain to my customers the ability and the function of the pen. Most customers buy my idea that it is really a good pen and they purchase from me.

However, conflict arise with my partner due to this. He is more toward lottery concept rather than functions of the pens. I decided to split the partnership and l stucked with few thousand of pens.

After the split partnership, I start to develop strong interest in pens. I start to distribute pens to retail shops in Singapore. Due to limited capital, l faced alot problems. Got once , l even create a ink gel pen and brand it under the name "Zodiac" pen. I distribute to many school bookshops and stationery shops in Singapore.However, as l import from china and my china supplier con me and giving me inferior product althought i have pay higher prices for manufacturing of the pens. It is doing very well till the pen of ink gel start to leak and I am force to stop this biz.

From that onward, l decided l will not purchase anymore pens from china, and start to research quality pens.

After that, l try to develop a pen call "Spinning pen" . However lacking of capital and investor, l decided to drop this idea. Maybe anyone who read this and interested can e-mail me ?

Later part of my life I keep on searching for quality pens and great pen. And finally I found Pelikan. I start to learn more about fountain pens and decide that is the path to go. I will continue my venture towards searching great fountain pens and other pens. That is how it started.
