Greetings.....I'm Darrel, founder of Proton Minerals. I have now been selling minerals on eBay for 12 years. Most of the items I list here on eBay are good quality aesthetic mineral specimens, rare species, and fluorescent minerals from worldwide localities with an emphasis on minerals from Canada, especially those from Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec and Rapid Creek, Yukon.

Normally I list one batch of specimens each month with anywhere from 30 to 50 specimens. Besides minerals, I also list the occasional meteorite, tektite, and fossil. Email me if you would like an email notification of when a new listing has been posted on eBay. My address is:

Why buy from proton*minerals ?

  • Quality Specimens. All specimens are guaranteed to be 100% genuine. All are natural specimens from the Earth, trimmed, cleaned, and ready to put into your collection. I do not list specimens that are synthetically grown, repaired, or assembled "specimens" consisting of crystals that have been carefully glued on to a matrix. As well, none of the specimens have been heat treated, irradiated, or dyed to enhance their color.

  • Specimen Information. Overall size of the specimen in both inches and centimeters given in each listing. Locality information and a brief description are also included. I do my best to provide clear photos in each and every auction.

  • Prompt and Secure Shipping. In most cases specimens are sent out in less than 24 hours after payment is received. Specimens are packed with the greatest of care to arrive in perfect condition. Customers who receive damaged items will be fully reimbursed.

  • Reasonable Shipping Rates. Customers in Canada and the U.S. pay only $7.00 for combined shipping regardless of the number of specimens won from that month's listing! See below for more details.

  • Personalized Service. No automated emails are sent to you, all correspondence regarding your purchase is personally sent by me. Although sometimes I am away travelling, I normally reply to your messages promptly.

    Shipping &  Handling Fees Shipping cost for one item is $7.00 to all countries.

Multiple auction winners from U.S. or Canada pay only $7.00 for the entire order regardless of the number of specimens won for combined shipping!

For multiple auction winners from all other countries, the shipping charge will be $7.00, plus $2.00 for each additional item won.

      Payment Payment accepted by Paypal only. Sorry, no checks, money orders, etc. are accepted.

*If you are a multiple auction winner, or if you are unsure about the total (taxes etc) please wait for me to send you an invoice before paying. An invoice will be sent shortly after the last auction of the evening closes.

Other Shipping           Info All shipments are sent through the Postal Office via air (except within Canada). Shipping days are Monday to Friday (except when holiday) and orders are normally sent out within 24 hours of receipt of payment. Payments made Friday afternoon will not be sent out until Monday. Payment must be made within 7 days from the end of the auction.
        Taxes No taxes are applicable.
