Hello, and thanks for visiting my ME page. My husband, CatskillComics (formerly coymn), got tired of me asking him to sell stuff for me, and told me to set up my own account ... so I did!!
Although my feedbacks are few, I'm proud of my 100% rating. I do my best to provide the same kind of service I would like to receive when I'm the buyer. I have been on eBay since July of 2001, so I don't consider myself a "newbie". I don't buy or sell nearly as much as my husband, though, and my auctions tend to come in groups with stretches of time in between.
My interests
When I'm not spending time with my husband, step-daughter and other "kids" (two cats and a dog), you can find me reading a good book (ummm... novels, not comics.... hehehe) or teaching my competitive winter color guard, Q.E.D..
Favorite Places Online
Although I am not a comic book collector myself, my husband represents several comic book artists, so I've come to know (and even like! LOL) the people who frequent the eBay Comics Chat Board. I've always enjoyed viewing artwork of any kind, and comic art is simply a different subject matter. The level of talent required to create the detailed sketches is incredible, and I love watching the artists work when we are at a convention.
I started attending comic conventions simply to spend time with my husband, and meet some of the eBay comic "boarders" with whom I've chatted. Honestly, I was usually a little bored looking over my husband's shoulder at comic books. At my second convention, however, I was thrilled to find that comic cons are NOT just for comic collectors! I managed to find an author of novels, and he has become a favorite! If you like John Grisham, check out Brad Meltzer!! Of course, now I don't have time to read when I'm at a con. I'm too busy getting artwork from various artists and being the personal assistant of whichever of my husband's artists is sitting at our Catskill Comics table. Not being into comics gives me much more time to stand in line for the more hard to get sketches.
As I already mentioned, I don't read comics, besides my full run of Sable, and I don't watch a whole lot of TV (with the choices, who can blame me! LOL) but I DO read novels... and LOTS of them! I read Fantasy/Sci Fi by several favorite authors, as well as Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Brad Meltzer, among others. Lately I've been reading a lot of books by R.A. Salvatore who I was turned on to by a fellow fantasy fan.
