I sell on eBay primarily for the enjoyment it gives me, and I try hard to make it a pleasant experience both for the buyer and for me as a seller. I learn something new from the experience with every transaction.

As a seller, I never worry if an item will sell. I used to get a little nervous when an item stayed at 99 cents for 3-4 days, but now that I've sold something for 99 cents (a TiVo, there are only about 2 million out there being auctioned!), I just say 'oh well'.

It's my policy not to end auctions early. I like the auction process and finding it interesting to watch how things unfold. I research everything I sell, looking at completed listings for the same or similar items and how much they sold for. That gives me a general idea of what I might get in the auction for my item.

It took me several years to get up the nerve to try selling on eBay. Early on, I bought some things, but selling seemed formidable and very intimidating. Still, I kept seeing people just like me, selling things like crazy. And well, I just kept seeing stuff around the house I could probably sell, unused, getting old, and gathering dust. Finally, I said to myself, "I could do that" and maybe someone will find value in what I have to sell, so I did.

I sell mostly my own stuff and sometimes things for friends. I try to be honest and truthful with the things I sell on eBay. My descriptions and photos are meant to reveal not conceal. I like to treat others fairly and be treated fairly myself; truth & honesty is important to me. I try to incorporate those values into my eBay experience, and into my life in general.

Now, I'm an artist, volunteer, attender of workshops, walker (former runner, knee injuries slowed me down), hiker, sometimes biker, interested observer of people, animal lover (2 dogs), wildlife watcher, amateur photographer (switched to digital, so much easier than a darkroom), and Mac computer and iPod guru to my friends. I love books, music, movies, art museums, yoga, and all things Mac, including that absolutely amazing invention, the iPod and, oh yes, don't forget the iPhone!
