We've always been in love with books. The way a leather-bound book smells, its weight in the palm, admiring a binding for its aesthetic value regardless of the subject matter, all of these things speak to our natural affinity for the printed word. From the moment we were first able to read, we have devoured anything we could get our hands on. The intellectual and creative freedom that derives naturally from reading motivates us to pursue our passions and even re-visit past pleasures. Of course, children like us often dream of becoming book sellers some day, and Read Rover is our expression of that dream. In our store you will not only find some true treasures, but also the fundamental everyday texts and works of fiction that fuel our daily lives. We also offer many other items besides books, including a vast selection of documentaries in VHS format. We wish to make your shopping experience with Read Rover Books as enjoyable as possible. Best Offer Guidelines:

 

Here are some general Best Offer guidelines to keep in mind:

  • The more copies of an item in stock, the lower the price we will entertain.
  • The more offers you make, the lower the prices we will consider across the board.
  • We will not accept offers that would result in a loss for us, so sending us a slew of extreme low ball offers will really just waste your time and ours.
Here is a basic breakdown of our costs as they relate to best offers:
  • We have shipping costs to cover that include packing materials. 
  • We have other costs to cover with each accepted offer that include commissions, payment processing fees and listing fees.
  • The more items in one shipment, the lower our costs per piece, the lower the price we can afford to consider.
The basic rules of Read Rover's Best Offers:
  • All purchased must be paid in full (with cleared funds) prior to shipment.
  • Payment is due within 48 hours of purchase.
  • All purchases will be combined into a single shipment.
  • This offer valid for US Domestic shipments only.
  • All items will be shipped via media mail.
  • Supplies are limited and Best Offer can be disabled or rejected at any time.
We may accept every offer you make, none of them, or just some of them.  Please plan (or budget) accordingly.  If you'd like to continue to shop and make further offers after one round of offers has been considered by us, please feel free to do so within 48 hours of the acceptance of your first offer.  Not every item in our inventory is enabled for Best Offer.  Please contact us if you have a specific request.

We accept Paypal and credit cards through Propay (a division of Wells Fargo).


Domestic US Shipping Information:

We ship all of our packages using the United States Postal Service. Because we want you to receive your items as quickly as possible, we use state of the art online postage software to insert bar code and zip+4 information to help move your parcel through the USPS system quicker.

Media mail usually takes between 5 and 10 business days to reach most destinations; however, there are times when it can take up to 21 business days. Please contact us if your shipment has been delayed so that we may look into the matter on your behalf.

Please note: Orders requiring shipment to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and APO/FPO destinations may experience delays beyond our control while in transit. Please consider upgrading your shipment to expedited service if you do not wish to wait up to 21 business days to receive your order.

International Shipping Information:

We are happy to ship to addresses outside of the US! We offer competitive flat rate shipping fees at checkout to make your shopping experience hassle free. However, there are a few over sized or heavy items in our catalog such as sets of books or large reference works, that might require additional shipping funds. In these cases, we will contact you prior to shipping to confirm these extra charges. If you have any questions or concerns about any specific items in our catalog, please feel free to contact us so that we may advise you if any additional shipping fees are required for your selected class of service.
