My Story- Robin's Busy Birds

Hi I'm Robin, creator of Robin's Busy Birds.

I have been crafting something my entire life. My greatest creations being my 2 daughters, Reanna and Shelby.The other is Robin's Busy Birds. I get great pleasure in bringing joy and pleasure to the people I create for.

Our Beginnings: My daughter Shelby went to her friend Hannah's birthday party. Hannah was Shelby's very best friend in Pre-K and was moving to Minnesota. I offered to take the pictures and make the girls a scrapbook. During the party the girls found a lizard.They had a great time with this lizard.

When it was time to make the scrapbook I put the lizard pictures on alligator paper. Low and behold nothing to decorate with! Off I go to Walmart to find the perfect embellishment. Again, nothing to decorate with!! But...they had this beautiful Lizard Fabric!! WOW!!!! Give me some and I'll figure something out. I sat up all night with the fabric and supplies. I was in creation heaven.

The next day my best friend and partner in crime, Ann ( I call her Annie ) comes in and I show her what I've been doing. Now Annie doesn't get overly excited about anything. In all the years I've known her she isn't the crafty type, doesn't sew, claims not to be able to draw or cut a straight line. Well what do you know- Annie says, " that's cool, lets go to the store." I'm in shock! Off we go to the store. We came home $300 later and went to creating. The more we did , the more we visioned.Both of us have creating fever at this point. Back to the store for more supplies. Before we knew it we had an obscene amount of pieces for us to be considered sane any more.

My mind is always working. I come up with a better way to make them. More insanity. we have thousands of pieces made. Annie says I'm scarey when I'm in create mode- cuz that means more work for her to do!!!!!! She is the greatest friend and very creative in her own right. Who else do you know takes on your project and goes on a roll with you into who knows where?

After all of this - my dad says we need to get a patent and get busy selling. Being the angel that he is, he helped us with that process and helped launch Robin's Busy Birds.
