"rohebooks" is a family owned new, used, and rare book business established in 1977. After having run an open retail bookshop on the north side of Chicago for 20 years, we now are open by appointment only, and have displayed at numerous book fairs around the Midwest. We have been members of Midwest Antiquarian Booksellers Association since 1977.


We take pride in our accurate cataloging & prompt, properly wrapped shipment of our books. When we state "First Edition" in our book description, it means FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING. All remainder marks, previous owner's bookplates or names (or any other sort of markings), dustjackets that have been price-clipped, etc. are ALWAYS noted to the best of our ability.

Have you ever bought an item on eBay or elsewhere on the Internet from one of these "megasellers" who have an enormous number of feedbacks? You ever have a question or have something go wrong with your order & realize they don't care, only communicating through canned "robo-emails"? Ever wonder how they got so big with such lousy customer service? We've been there, & we have wondered. We DON'T want to do business like that.
