Origin of the Sarong
Traditionally, the sarong (also known as Pareo/Pareau) is a wrap skirt that has been and still is worn by both men and women in the tropics. Usually strong colors are features with bold prints. Today's sarong has evolved into a welcome travelling companion anytime you need a quick coverup at any waterfront destination. Ideal while lounging at the poolside at home or on a cruise, at the waterslides or public pool with the kids, or fitness center.
And... if you forgot to bring the picnic blanket, walla! Aren't you just so smart!
Similar to the Indian Sari/Saree, it may even be worn as a decorative scarf or shawl on those cooler evenings out.
Alternatively, the sarong incorporates well into many performing arts events for costume, belly dance, pageants, ice skating and ballet.

Size/Length challenged?
Not sure what size to order?
Just send along your bust/hip measurements (bust for dress, hip for skirt) and we can figure it out for you.
As the sarong is tied to fit, sizing is not critical.
It is however an appreciated option for plus sizes.
Not sure about length?
Keep in mind that approximately 2" is lost in length as the skirt rises up when tied. I.e. An 18" skirt will shorten up to about 16" when worn.
