Welcome to HART's World ====================================================================== THE ROSE VILLA PROJECT We had a good time this year and a successful one despite the economic turns. Bless you all for helping and We couldn't have done it with out you! I have held one fundraiser and we raised $127.50. Thanks to Jaxi, wickedpatti, Demon, freebird, fostermom, magicsandy, Beth, Meg, and some anonymous donors. I had a second challenge and raised $78.23~. The total is $205.73 plus interest. Again I want to thank the anonymous donors and matchers. With out these angels, I would be lost. I put it into a savings account to earn interest! Better than sitting around in a paypal account that does nothing! From Rose: "You all are my saviors this year even more so than in the past- I know God will bless you all 10 fold for all you do." There are 54 residents. as usual need white socks- as much sugar free candy as possible. make-up - combs- hair brushes -hair clips-bobby pins-nail polish- lipstick - face powder- perfume & after shave- disposable razors- jewelry- good or broken ( we make things from the broken stuff) appreciate the older the better. coloring books-color pencils-hand held small pencil sharpeners- small zippered bags (ladies makeup and larger zippered bags-for mens shaving equipment- Remember that these items that follow are "wants" not neccessarily Needs Patient wish list as follows. I now live in East Texas, but love to visit other places. Meeting new people and places helps to keep me young. Got Married again on February 14, 2000...to a nice guy. This man LOVES to fish; I'll get back in the tackle box one of these days.....now that we live on a lake. LOL I have no kids living with me, but sure do keep busy with a Chihuahua. This dog is teaching me about smarts and unconditional love. He is my baby! :o) I find myself collecting silverware, both plated and sterling. Have some crystal that was my great-grandmother's and it goes with my ball and claw furniture. I think I was born in the wrong century. LOL I also do a lot of volunteer work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I lose the males in my family to ALS (Lou Gerhig's Disease). Lost two uncles and my favorite cousin (in April 1999, after a (very rare) fast 8 month decline). So if you get called for a lock-up for MDA...go and have a good time raising money for a good cause. Who knows...you might meet me! ;0)
