Greetings. Thank you for stopping in the Sur Al Norte eBay store. We imports handcrafts from all over Mexico; black pottery, alebrijes, Day of the Dead items, Mexican rugs and an array of other indigenous, unique items. Almost all of these items are purchased directly from the artists, their families or enterprises that offer decent jobs to Mexicans.
Our mission is to promote fair trade in order to help offer a sustainable living to villages in Mexico. We buy and sell at a fair price. We also encourage our customers and visitors to find other like minded eBay sellers in order to spread it around. Sur Al Norte is a micro lender. A percentage of every purchase is given back in the form of loans to Mexican entrepreneurs who want to open their own businesses.
After attending an eBay live! workshop that is exploring ways to promote global fair trade within the community, I'm offering that sellers of these works link to each other's store. I have started an eBay blog and hope that this unconventional way of doing business can bear fruit.
Complete satisfaction with your purchase is another goal. We have 100% feedback and will give you no reason to do otherwise. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, we will do what it takes to make it right. We have a "no questions asked" return policy. Well, that's not entirely true. We will ask what we can do better next time.
So, thanks for stopping. We hope you shop all eBay vendors who promote fair trade.
