My name's Sandie, aka Cricket, and along with my husband Ron, we're the proud owners of Sandie's Treasures - Welcome to our About Me page! Grab ya a cup of coffee, sweet tea or whatever's to yer likin, pull ya up a seat and relax for a bit while I tell ya a little bit about us and our store.
Sandie's Treasures is a family owned and operated husband-wife business. We've been in business since 2004 and sell in several venues, including on and off-line. eBay has been a fantastic part of our business and we have now been selling on the eBay forum for over 5 years!
Just a little background, before starting this venture, we owned and operated a family business in the automotive industry. Ron had been in that business since before he was a teenager [and yes that was nearly a coons age ago but don't tell him I told ya that] and when they were old enough, all three of our sons worked for us as well. With his knowledge of the mechanical work and mine of business management and accounting, we made a pretty good team. The floods in the mid-90's affected the area we were in very badly and we ended up finally closing the doors in 2000. Ron went on to become an OTR driver while I stayed home for the most part or traveled with him. Finally in 2003 I gave in to his encouragement and started trying my hand at selling a few things at flea markets and looking into this internet selling thing. In January of 2004 we launched Sandie's Treasures. And today I wonder why I didn't listen to him sooner. It's been an absolute blast! The fantastic customers we have here and in our other venues have made our experience in this business an absolute dream!
In addition to our store here on eBay we also have booths at area flea markets and craft shows, and I sell Avon as well. If you're ever in our area be sure to stop by our booth and say howdy!
We've always loved checking out those quaint antique and thrift stores and love finding bargains where ever they may be. Sometimes it's at auctions, consignment sales, wholesalers, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, craft fairs, community sales or maybe a family member or friend's unneeded treasures. Sometimes it's right here in our own basement or attic. And of course there's always those crafts that we love doing. Where ever we find them, you can be sure that sooner or later you'll also be able to find them right here in our store. Don't see something you're looking for? Never hurts to ask and who knows we just might have it sitting back here on one of these shelves waiting for a new home.
Our interests are all over the board, so that’s what you’ll find in our store. We both love to read too, there’s no better way to get lost and relax than in a good book. Be sure to check out our shop on Half.com to get some good deals on our vast library!
