| We specialize in stamps and postal history from Germany, covering all Germany areas, but with an emphasis on:
- Old German States
- German Empire 1872-1923
- Berlin
- Federal Republic.
To accommodate the serious Germany collector, our offerings are classified according to the most recent version of the Michel Catalog. Because much of our material is procured in Europe, adheres to European quality standards, and is accordingly bought at European prices, we primarily use Michel Catalog Value (MCV) as the basis for our pricing structure. |
Terms of sale: All philatelic items offered by us are authentic unless specified otherwise. We fully stand behind the classification of the stamps we sell, so any stamp offered as a variety has been positively identified as such by our staff using our comprehensive reference collection and philatelic library. Payment from North American bidders should reach us within 5 days of close of auction. Overseas buyers should submit payment within 7 days. Payment can be made by US $ checks drawn on a US bank, US money orders or cashiers checks, or via paypal at saphilatelics@mac.com. Items deemed not as described can be returned for a refund of the purchase price plus S/H within 7 days of receipt. Payment terms for individual offerings, particulary on ebay.de, may differ and will always supercede our general payment policy. Items deemed not authentic can be returned for a refund of the purchase price plus S/H once their status has been determined by a recognized authority. If you plan on having an item authenticated/expertized, you must inform us of your intent within 7 days of receipt, so that we can adjust the warranty period accordingly. Failure to notify us within that period that an expertise is being sought voids the warranty and any subsequent claims will be rejected. In any case, please contact us prior to returning any lot bought from us. A word on condition: we aim to fully disclose the condition of all single stamps we sell. However, since condition is highly subjective, we abstain from using any grading system on our stamps. Instead, we provide high-quality scans for all items we sell. All flaws not clearly visible from the scan will be mentioned in the description, unless the presence and extent of such flaws can be ascertained from the position of an expert's signature; alternatively, the stamp may be collectively described as having flaws. Stamp lots containing 3 or more stamps should always be expected to contain stamps in a range of conditions, including reprints and/or forgeries, as these will not be mentioned separately. Such lots, as well as individual stamps described as having flaws, are also not returnable. We reserve the right to refuse sales to members with overall negative (e.g., -1), zero (0), or private feedback.
Combined Shipping Policy: Each additional item ships at a 50% discount.
A Word on "Best Offers":
Many of our BIN lots are listed with a "Best Offer" option. If you are interested in an item but feel the price is too high, you are welcome to submit a reasonable best offer. We encourage you to submit such offers early in the listing period, as we will remove the option at the halfway point of the 30-day listing period.
