~*A Little History*~

Hi! It's so nice to meet you:) My name is Jennifer Buckle...I am Sapphire Skies Designs. I have been designing jewelry since 1993.

I am a jewelry nut who way back when fell in love with a necklace that was way out of my budget. After much longing for that particular necklace and much studying of the picture I figured out that I could create that very necklace at a fraction of the price. Friends were so impressed that I'd actually pulled it off that they started placing orders and well...as they say the rest is history!

I am now on my tenth year with ebay and still love every minute of it. I started out selling sterling jewelry imported from Mexico and eventually started to offer my own designs which is what you see now:o) Inquiries and special orders are always welcome!

In 2002, I started offering my wire wrapped designs on ebay. All wire wrapped stones that I offer are original, brand new creations that I have made. There is never a plan on how the stone will turn out, the designs come from feelings & visions I receive while holding the stone. Occasionally, I offer designs in gold fill. Like beading, this started because of my fondness for gemstones and my wish to acquire them in wearable form. I've always been drawn to stones. I can't imagine my life without their beauty, energy & healing properties.

I believe I was meant to wrap stones. How I learned is rather interesting. Some people take classes, some folks watch videos or read books and others well they just somehow learn...this is what I did. A fellow seller on ebay and truly wonderful person had a pendant up that I so wanted. My husband decided that he would get it for me for my birthday. The auction closed and I was not the lucky bidder...it went for over 300.00 more than we could afford. I later came across a stone that I liked and purchased the materials to set it myself. I sat down and started to wrap and after a couple of attempts I gave up and went to bed. The next morning I woke up, walked out to my studio and wrapped the stone like I had been doing it all my life. As time has gone on, I have continued to wrap stones for myself, my friends, my family & my ebay customers. My life is truly a journey...Thank you for sharing it with me.

I'd like to assure you that my items are made of the finest quality. I use several suppliers so I can get the lowest prices! When I started making jewelry I was horrified at cost versus retail. I decided that I would do whatever I could to share my art with all who were interested in it. I love what I do and if I can provide my customers with a little affordable beauty and make a small profit then I have achieved what I set out to do.

~*More About Me*~

I am 41 years old and have been married to the man of my dreams for 10 glorious years. Jewelry design is my full time job. I sell in local shows, on ebay and etsy. My husband works full time as a computer programmer and is also an airplane enthusiast. He loves ebay because it gives me such a great outlet to share my work with people and it gives him time to play with his toys and an outlet to sell his spare sim parts:) His favorite toy is a 20 foot cockpit section of an F-15 which he is making into a flight simulator. I love shopping as well as selling...This is what makes ebay so great! I can buy things from all over the world that I can't get locally! I love buying rare & unusual gemstones! I also buy other items of interest such as fantasy art & just about anything dragonfly.

~*My Kitty Kids*~

Socrates my very special all black Maine Coon recently passed after an 18 month battle with acute renal failure. Gene & I will always love this very special kitty and we miss him dearly.

These next two pictures are of Smoky our oldest furrykid. She was adopted from a rescue in 2000. She is now 14 years old and living the "good life!"

Our latest addition to the house is Luna, which we found out once we named her is short for Lunatic...cause she is CRAZY!!! I call her the demon in a cute suit and our crazy baby aka the kinetic furball!

We call this one the Lunatic at rest! If I am lucky she sleeps about 30 minutes for every 2 hours of activity! Normal cats sleep 18-22 hours a day (she's not normal).

I am often up at sunrise and just couldn't pass up sharing this spectacular picture of Mt. Rainier on a super cold & frosty morning!
