It's been six years now since I started my little stationery business. Thanks so much to all of my new and repeat customers who have placed orders through my store. I've been so lucky to work with all of you and I truly appreciate your business.

I'm very excited to have my e-commerce website for a year now, www.sassygirlstationery.com. I hope you will all take a moment to browse the site. There are at least 100 new items there that I just haven't had time to add to my Ebay store yet. You can even enter your personalization and see a text preview right away instead of waiting for me to send it by email.

We still live in New Orleans and it's been 3 1/2 years since Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent levee failures that flooded the city. There has been so much progress in the rebuilding process. Gutted homes are still being torn down and many lots are for sale or new homes are being built, many elevated up in the air on "stilts" with a closed in bottom floor garage to make it look like the first floor of the house. The city's population is up to 80% of what it was pre-Katrina, although many locals have left and new people have come in to participate in the rebuilding process. They say that New Orleans is in the heart of those who live here and even if they go away, most will be drawn back one day. We are pretty much done renovating the inside of our house, except for some minor things. We have some furniture but still have quite a bit more to buy. We are turning our focus to the exterior now and all of the projects that need to be done outside like new fencing, redoing the driveway, adding dirt and new sod, landscaping, etc.

Many of you already know that I have a regular full-time job in addition to my stationery business. I feel very strongly about giving and receiving excellent customer service. I expect it when I'm spending my money and if I receive poor service, I'll shop somewhere else. I'd rather pay a little more and get great service than to suffer with incompetent service. That is why I always do my best to provide full, personalized customer service to my stationery customers. I want you to be happy and I want you to return in the future and refer your friends and family.

After college I worked for a major manufacturer of bath products in the regional sales office. I mostly worked with department store buyers but at times also worked with dissatisfied consumers. I learned that providing excellent customer service is one of the most important parts to any business relationship. I know that people have many options available to them but excellent customer service is something that is rare in retail today. That is something I always strive to provide 100% to my customers and that sets me aside from others.

We are trying to start a family in the near future, but I am already the proud Mom of two "stuff and fluffs" and one "grizzly bear", who are very SASSY girls, and that is where my company name came from! My American Eskimo is the original "Sassy" Girl! I have to admit - our three girls are fairly spoiled and even more so now that they are in their golden years. ;>)

Sassy is my 15-year old American Eskimo, aka "Big Girl", "Stuff n Fluff", & "Sassafrass"; Belle is my 14-year old Maltese, aka "Little Peanut", "Sass-Pot", "Buddha Belly", and "Belvidere"; and the baby of the family is our 8 1/2 year old Diabetic Rottweiler, Chloe, aka "Chloe Bear", "Big Moose", & "Clothilde"!!!

They are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in NYC and they work with the NYC Tri-State area. They work so hard to rescue and care for Maltese dogs (and sometimes others that cross their path in need of help) from local shelters and owner-surrenders. Last year alone, they rescued over 100 Maltese dogs. The money this non-profit raises goes to pay for medical expenses and care for these babies so they can be healthy, happy, experience love and know what its like to be part of a real family.
